I agree with you. I don't know why they have to shoot the fighting choreography focus on one part of the body like legs, head and a lot of fast editing flashing during cloud and wind duel. This might be due to the director style or the director lack of experience to shoot fighting scene.

I think in a way, they are making the chereography for the kungfu as close to the comic itself as possible, thus the slow...it sorta like 'copy paste' from the comic to the movie...
But nevertheless, not worth it for the storyline but graphics ok.
The special effect is ok but overused. They should not use special effect for the background. Some of the background is understandable but all of it is a no no. The most obvious is heartless lead his army to conquer other kungfu clans. I wish they can totally cut that scene away. But nevertheless, not worth it for the storyline but graphics ok.
The most important things is that if they want to do a sequel next time, change the director. The director didn't make any effort to understand the character. Example, Wind special move is his kick, he can move as fast as the wind and etc. The director also fail to bring any emotion and the behavior of the character, even the dialog is paper thin and weak.
I know this is a comic based movie, but it must have a balance of plot/story, character building, entertainment, special effects and etc.
The first storm rider is much more better.
