No offence.. just went to watch the movie.. it was almost 2 hours long.. but it could be shortened to 45 minutes if its not for the extensive use of slow-mos..

I see the attempt to give viewers the 300 feel, but the only feel i got from the movie was frustration.. All the fights seemed more like mini-fights with extra-extra slow-mo effects rather than a real epic fight..

I personally prefer the Storm riders from 11 years ago..

there is so much to tell for the stryline like how the bad-ass come from, y suddenly they all been captured n most importantly they din even introduce the character!!!!
...i think they got mention a little during the opening scene words but tat is not enuff man...2 hours show...1 and a half hour fighting....seriously it will bored u out towards the end....im really damn dissappointing about this show....the first 1 was so epic and nice....tis 1.....it din even involved many people too.....my rating 2/5.......1 for the cgi effect....1 for aaron n ekin coming back for the cast....i think the director shud go back n direct ghost story n tis is definitely for the comic fans....

300 look alike = nicolas tse 'cartoon scene' (reminds me of 'loong foo mun' starring nic tse n donnie yen), simon yam on the throne being ferried to the cave

I would like to say that CGI isn't really that bad for a Hong Kong movie although there are some awkward cartoonish computer effect scene. Like painting the background white and then adding up with slow motion fight and blood squirting out from nowhere. That's just weird.

Besides that, character development and plot is just practically failure. There are some side characters which is deemed useless although their presence could be more important to the story, like the storm rider's gf. That Charlene Choi and the latter one - I dunno her name. As for the storyline, there are some obvious loopholes within the plot, like the first battle scene, why are they hanging around and got captured (Maybe I simply forgot the prequel), and what about that dragon bone @@?

The movie is too focusing on battle without emphasize the importance of storyline. And for the excessive slow-motion cam usage, though many people has stated it, I just want to say this, it is wasting more than 10 minutes of the showtime and slow motion isn't just using in an appropriate way.

Overall, not as I expected, the prequel is just much much better than this. I would say - er : 1/5 - - er.. 2/5 ... because of ekin cheng =x

Offtopic: Ekin Cheng reminds me of Sasuke from Naruto when he got possessed by evil =x
