Bro, formatting your HDDs isn't a very good idea as it increases the risk of bad sectors.

Nope, nothing to do with motherboard. sweat.gif It's the HDD that will result in bad sectors in the long run (say 3 years++?).

Yes, the same problem occurs to me, all the video thumbnails are gone, i tried uninstalling KLite and install the latest KLite but it seems nothing works, haih, i guess formatting is the only way but to format a pc is another tedious job sweat.gif

What brand? I've got WD 40GB PATA which has been used for 5 years (Format = Once, Defrag = Every week, Disk Cleanup = Every week). Still works until today.

PS: To the people who hear a "clicking" sound coming from their HDD, do a complete backup because the HDD GONNA PHAIL. sweat.gif

The biggest HD I have is 1TB, with 70+% capacity filled with stuff. All other HD are already stuffed, where would I back it up to? And oh, my main HD is a Maxtor, and it's not SATA, but still working fine since 2002.
