can't really compare them.
even the performance also quite a gap dy' when both at 4ghz.
(note that i7-920 also able to do 4ghz with ease.)

should compare it with Q9550, as clocking 4ghz is also not a problem for E0.
it'd be a close tie between them.

catches up with intel? amd can catch up with intel when they used LIQUID NITRO...that's just sad..

what if intel uses liquid nitro...see who catch who..

This is the AM2+ version(comes out on january 2009).Wait till the AM3 comes out(febraury 2009).Maybe a decent performance increase?We shall see.

Don't forget the new Dragon platform.Its most likely the previous crappy Spider platform which Dragon requires a ati 4800 series GC,790 series chipset motherboard and Phenom II proc.Well Dragon is said to be having 40% more performance compared to Spider(really?).

Well the Dragon name seems more promising compared to Spider as Spiders are easilly squashed.

Next year is where price/performance come for both Intel and AMD.

but for sure, i'm going with the 1 with lower power consumption ^^.

Price per performance is always the choice for me.Im seeing AMD coming.

I was being sarcastic So far, I think this new line of AMD processors are only made to compete with C2Ds and C2Qs(and no sure chance of winning yet).

AMD had change thier market aim to mid end user juz like 4870 and 4850 they r slower than gtx280 of coz but they still selling like hot cake

Phenom 9950 + HD3870 vs Phenom II 940 + HD4870

i do see the 40% performance

3870 vs 4870 already 40% liau

high clock speed is nothing, the important is how fast this "deneb" compared to conroe/ kensfield
if they can compete the core2 of intel, its been very very nice already..

i prefer amd & intel running on same clock speed & do the benchies

yeah actually AMD more to price per performance ratio market..

well, id really wanna see AMD beats Intel like last time... but what ive heard, amd performs well on single tasking espcially gaming then intel???? dunno if its true... i would like to try 1 of those Phenom II as my 5000+ BE already out of date.. still support AMD since Duron was out...huhu
