MISC terminates deal with Ramunia


KUALA LUMPUR: MISC Bhd has terminated the conditional sale and purchase agreement with Ramunia Holdings Bhd “due to unsatisfactory due diligence findings”.

MISC said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday that its unit MSE Holdings Sdn Bhd had elected to terminate the conditional sale and purchase agreement with Ramunia dated Jan 21, 2008 with immediate effect.

“MSEH has, in accordance with the terms of the SPA, elected to terminate the SPA due to unsatisfactory due diligence findings,” it said.

The corporate exercise, if successful, would have seen MISC injecting MSEH into Ramunia under a reverse takeover.
