dont worry there r plenty of investment choice out there, what u miss today can get back tommorrow though not a handsome profit but still its better than getting it from a savings account.
Making bad investment choices is worse than losing an opportunity, take ur time seat back and lok at the bigger picture.

A positive net of 3 or 4 % return before currency risk is a bit low.
One thing about the Singapore Government is they sell their investments like gold, buying up investments at the price of rocks.
