Ramunia is losing money  in last Q and the coming Q.

It is quite diff from KNM though both are in the same sector.

Short term trading, no comment.

Some news on Resorts.

27/11/08
Resorts World to buy Digital Tree, Bromet
Resorts World’s indirectly owned unit Resorts World Ltd is buying Bromet Ltd and Digital Tree (USA) Inc from KH Digital Ltd for RM249.8m to tap into the potential of Digital Tree and Walker Digital Gaming LLC. Walker Digital develops, protects and commercialises gaming industry ops, protects and commercialises gaming industry patents for casino table games like Guaranteed Play Blackjack and Elite Baccarat and electronic gaming consoles. The exercise would allow it to strategically invest in Walker Digital’s business. (Malaysian Reserve)

Check out OSK research on REsort at 29/07/08 ....
and read its 27/11/08 research paper.

Looks like me & KMARC bought Resort at one of its strong support lvl which is at 2.43 as stated in the 29/7/08 research paper.
Hope it will stay strong there before go up again.

Too bad it's in an upward trend these few days... if drop again, thinking of getting it....

maybe , either one of these reasons causing them to drop the deal:
1) property mart already soften, value deccelerate faster than expected? (800 million as agreed for Menara Citibank)
2) difficult to obtain loan financing as banks turn cautious
3) IOI CEOs concern cannot finance debt with falling palm oil prices, falling revenue.

all I can guess of.

Just got back from Singapore. Wow, Ramunia looks attractive for trading buy since most stocks overshoot on the way up/down. Anyone knows the fair value, e.g. from research report, news article, etc?

Who's saving bullets for Genting IF it crash today? brows.gif Should be a good counter to grab if the price is lower right (say, RM 4.0-4.1)?

I thought Resorts' news yesterday was neutral to good (they are so rich in cash!!), bought them at mid-day price of 2.56; but it went down to 2.39 vmad.gif then bought again at 2.41 and average down to 2.52.. hopefully it's not effected by Genting today; end of year coming; festive season coming, everyone sure go gambling!!! 4Q result and 1Q result next should be positive!! I think yesterday over-reaction might be due to FF dumping?? Lets see today.. Their support is around 2.44, which is current price..

Resorts financial report is actually good much better than Genting.
Attached File  Resorts.pdf ( 209.05k ) Number of downloads: 6

Since Genting current released financial result is not so well, maybe some of their investor will switch over to buy Resort instead. laugh.gif

Check out CIMB latest research on Resort financial and performance report.

My monies on CPO...

Looks like CPO is heading for a rally at teh end of the month, hopefully there's gonna be some shortage just in time for CNY.

This is a summary from a futures broker, they r quite bullish abt CPO's upward trendin as well.

CPO futures: The ongoing heavy rains across oil palm growing regions which will slow down
palm oil harvesting thus will cap production and China will increase purchases ahead of festivals like
Chinese New Year will keep palm oil prices to remain supportive and likely to stay on the higher side.
Expects Malaysian palm oil futures to open higher and continue to trade upward bias today. Support and
resistance are pegged at 1630 and 1730.

There should be some selling on Genting today. But the 3Q loss is mainly due to write down on UK casino investments and should be one off.

BTS final testing tomorrow, will go live on Monday 1st Dec,at 8.30 am.
