QUOTE(AdamG1981 @ Dec 2 2008, 03:49 PM) If you are focus on long term, its a good time to buy for 2-3 months, if you are focus on contra, we still have room to fall. I do not think contra is good for us.Holding 2 to months is not a problem for me so long got chance to make money. Maybe sell during the CNY. Thank you. 2 opinion :-
Why buying warrant at 62sen when there are many stocks at that price are trading at the PE of 4 to 10x 08 or 09 ? I mean stocks are better to hold for long term than warrants themselves. Buying warrants are no diff from buying speculative shares. bcos it is not easy to value them, beside the normal expiry dates. Just my 2sen. |

QUOTE(wirelessdude @ Dec 3 2008, 12:21 AM) Hahaha... like I said, I just bought it because I noticed they were unusually active and rising. I personally hold quite a lot of KNM , plan to sell when the price double up.You're right about stocks rather than warrants! Because apart from YTL Power-WB, I also today bought more Zelan, KNM, Gtronic and Pelikan for the long term. I read the reports and fundamentally can hold KNM for medium to long term. EPF is holding 7.5%. Small Cap Fund US, just bought 5.8 % last month. People think it is a goreng stock, but I go for longer period investment. need some patience to reap the real rewards. Whether you want to take a short term profit or considering longer term view is entirely your own decision.
This thread is not meant to milk fed. We may expect YTL Power to go up., but it still could refuse to do so. Judge your own. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Dec 3 2008, 11:31 AM |

@ YTL Power
A positive net of 3 or 4 % return before currency risk is a bit low. One thing about the Singapore Government is they sell their investments like gold, buying up investments at the price of rocks. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Dec 3 2008, 11:57 AM |

QUOTE(wongck @ Dec 4 2008, 09:54 AM) I got a question. As as individual , it is not necessary to follow the best accounting practice. I bought Resorts 20 @ 2.500 then bought another 20 @ 2.200 in contra. If I sell only 20, will it sell my contra 1 or at 2.500 price 1st? But the bottom line , you still have to make some profits from the investments. If you are buying contra at 2.20 and sell at 2.30, then you make an actual profit . You still can value 2.50 for the stock you keep, though at unrealised loss. The profit if any from contra gain, could be used to offset 2.50 that you bought earlier, thus lowering your holding cost. Hope I answer your Q. Have a good day. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Dec 4 2008, 10:33 AM |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Dec 4 2008, 11:35 AM) Tension and depressed in market crash and economy recession, smoke even more... Malaysians are peaceful people, not simply demonstrating at Airports, if they are not happy with the Govt.So good for tobacoo business. Alcohol business for Guiness also rising, as Guiness reported good sales and earning. Worst case scenario is to get themselves drunk, and yet they want to ban it . Soon cars also cannot take 4 people at the back. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Dec 4 2008, 11:43 AM |
