Just a question i want to ask cos im thinking of upgrading my HDD. Is it neccessary to clear the cache in the 20gb HDD before we do the transfer? If so does it means that i have to re download all my DLC's to be able to use them on the new 160gbHDD? A little confused when i read the tutorial and the tutorial says to clear all the cache.

Thanks guys for clearing things up. I dont have much downloads so not much i need to backup. Will try and see how it goes. Thanks. Wish me luck. Flashing HDD...Successful...now waiting for my partition 3 backup. Seems like taking a very long time. I din clear my cache though. Cheers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- No good. After i did my 20gb backup only i found out that i cant see partition 2 and partition 3 on my 120gb hdd. Tried using hex workshop for hexing but the values i find not the same as the ones on the tutorial. Any other hex editors that are easier to use cos i find hex workshop a little complicated. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Done hex editing finally. Now restoring all the files. Phew...really alot of work man. This post has been edited by ksleong88: Nov 27 2008, 02:58 AM

I spent alot of time geetting my SATA controller to recognize the HDD. Had to hexedit hddhackr in order for it to detect the drive. I find that using winhex to edit is easier than using hex workshop. Then i din realise that explorer360 was stuck when i was dumping the 20gb file to my PC. Only realise it after 1hour plus so time wasted there. Moral of the story is to not be greedy and back up the folders in partition 3 one by one. So far all is working fine except my Forza 2 savegame is corrupted. Havent tried my Fable 2 savegame yet. Will update when i have time to test. Finished everything at 3.30am. All in all a great experience. Thanks to MMX and Darksaviour for the tutorial. Cheers mates. Great job. Now to install as much games as i can. Haha..

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Nov 27 2008, 06:36 PM) Mine still cannot run.. Damn.. I bought the hdd straight plug in do the hddhackr. No go windows format or watever.. Is it because your hddhackr does not detect you HDD when u run hddhackr -f? I had that proble so i had to hex edit the hddhackr.com file with hex workshop like the tutorial taught. After that i can flash the HDD. Patience bro i spent 8hours figuring everything out. Haha..
