can xplorer360 detect the hdd if we use with sata to usb connection.
since the xplorer360 itself came with xport where it connect to a computer using usb rite?

bro one thing about the tutorial here

Tutorial – Editing the Partitions In Windows

Meaning I have to plug in my desktop HDD and let it load windows, and the from windows, edit this partition?

i connected my hard disk to the sata connector and hddhackr couldnt detect my hard disk on the sata port

i had to hex edit the hddhackr program and insert my own sata port devices

i doubt your method of using usb will work coz its specifically looking for sata I/O ports on your motherboard (hddhackr)

you need to flash your hdd in dos base.. I'm not sure abt the sata to usb connection.

Yes you need to load up ur windows xp, and then run any hex editor. You able to flash it?

He meant tht he wanna do the xplorer transfer which require windows

haven't started yet, still in the office, will be at home by 4pm, then will be asking for help hehehe...
btw, i checked my MOBO, only 4 sata port...

bro have tried, when i tried the first time this one come up

1) “fatal error, the ec sector count was not found in the FW” – you need to change your HDD. Might due to you have formatted the HDD in windows

but i didn't format or do anything.....i just ran from a windows 98se bootdisk

What model of HDD you're using?

and do u edit the hex ?

I having the same problems with b4.. but after go back to change the HDD to 3200BEVT BLUE voila.....
Guess u out of luck like me.. maybe u could change the HDD maybe to 2500BEVT or BEVS

nothing to do with boot disk, I think the HDD itself, maybe u shd upgrade to 250GB? or BEVT model

ok sorry was away
just came back to change my hdd
ok basically what i did.....
i setup floppy with windows 98se bootable
when i tried the first time, it can't detect the drive
so when i tried open msinfo32
i notice that my scsi got no info, info only available in ide
so i change the hex value accordingly and when i connect the drive again when i tried to enter hddhackr -f it can detect the drive
then it prompt for flashing i click 'y'
then prompt for create undo bin i click 'y'
right after that, the error message comes up
