I personally recommend you guys do.
Gamer's Hideout said they got the recalled bundles for World Tour,yet my friends are all having problems with them.

I've had my Rock Band set for a month now and it's working just fine.

Again, choice of preference. For REAL drummers, having the raised yellow and orange pads are a godsend.
Of all the technical problems, it can now be EASILY fixed.
Quieting the Rock Band kits however..... well, there are a few mods out too.....
Do remember, the RB pads are much much MUCH louder then the GH ones, and you're only playing with 4 pads + Kick pedal..... GH is 5 pads + Kick pedal.

On the flip side, if you play alot more Rock Band tunes, the setup of the RB kit is prefered, especially for songs like Run To The Hills where the red and yellow are swapped.....

If you play Run To the Hills with GH drums,they're awkward because the snare drum and hi-hat are swapped.
Same goes for Everlong on RB2,Orange Crush,and some other songs that I played and forgot for so long now.

At least the RB drums are adjusted properly into World Tour,while World Tour drums feel awkward on Rock Band.

No,I'm not trying to boycott the World Tour drums,I'm just talking about the compatibility between the games,that Rock Band is just superior in.Of course,I find World Tour drums to be great on World Tour,what with the new velocity sensitive notes and such.

And I DO play real drums,thank you very much >:(

err i thought i saw boxes of rock band sets in gh the other day? anyways...in terms of quality which is better? the gh:wt or the rock band set?

No,the boxes in GH are all PS3,PS2 and Wii versions.
In terms of quality,it's pretty hard to say.

From my personal experience,the Rock Band drums are pretty okay,but my bass pedal snapped so I had to reinforce it with metal.
The pads themselves are just fine but every now and then I feel it dropping certain red notes.

From what I heard,the World Tour drums are really faulty and almost every unit has a problem picking up hits.
If you can get them to work,good for you.

So they both have their faults,but considering how Rock Band has been around for a year and Guitar Hero World Tour should have seen any mistakes from those drums and avoided them,I think the Rock Band drums are much better.

However,I think Blacktrix said in the World Tour thread about taping or soldering some wires inside to get them to work.You go ask him.

I have the GH:WT full kit and the drum set (touch wood) is still ok.

Anyways, got my copy of RB, time to jam some songs.....I would say both have their own specialty.
