I cant tell or measure how heavy the rain is, but from my experience,if its raining cats and dogs, and if you can drive up to 90kmh on the highway and still feel safe, then yes, it will repel the rain away.

Tested and for my car need at least 80kmh for the rain to slide off.
Heavy rain need to use wiper ler . This is not a viper replacement. Safety first.
