Hi,I bought an genuine OEM version Vista Home Basic SP1 DVD from an IT shop, installed on my laptop & activated it,one month ago, however, now I've change to Linux, can I resell it to my friend? Is it illegal? That sticker still attached on DVD box,I didn't tear it. Some said if my friend bought from me and install on his own laptop, just call MS during installation, acquire a new CD key, answer few question, like 'I've change a new PC,need to reinstall...' Does it work? So the license is belong to him after that?

Thanks for yr information. This Vista I bought is not bundled with my laptop,I bought my laptop 2mth ago, then bought Vista after that, from another shop,it's boxed. How do I differentiate Retail version & OEM version? That shop assistant never tell me about this during purchase. shocking.gif
