I pluck my armpit hair.

But my problem is, my armpit is still dark no matter what product I use. Do i really need to do laser treatment to whiten it? sad.gif

wax then pluck...
wax can go shop, i think around RM20-25 or buy bodyshop waxing strips... cheaper... but need someone to help... not easy if you're not familiar...

pluck is best but as u pluck too many times, ur hair will grow thin, thus hard to see and pluck. so sometimes must shave.

best possible solution is outsource la... let the pro handle it for u.... laugh.gif

my friend just went to ask about the ipl treatment for under arm. She went to ask domeilee and also bedazzle. Domeilee will cost her rm2k + for a few sessions only but bedazzle will cost her RM1.5k for whole life guarantee package. I'm also considering to do it but it's a bit too costly...

You can easily get the sugar wax from Body Shop, price is around RM60-80, but can use for very long time. Only problem is you have to warm the wax up by putting the bottle in a bowl of hot water. Sometimes, it didn't get warm enough and too sticky to use. To overcome this problem, I just put it in my face steamer to steam it for around 20 mins.

After waxing, it can last at least 1 month and the new hairs that came out will get finer and finer. Plus, no dark spots at the armpit that usually caused by shaving.

Plucking and waxing stretches the skin and eventually leads to saggy skin once your collagen-producing days are over (e.g. when you're old). I shave everyday, but use body scrub and/or loofah around that area too. For me I exfoliate. Slow process, but it keeps the underarm area from getting darker and darker. Short from bleaching/laser treatment/expensive creams the area will still remain dark...

i can't remember the price d.. i think rm1k plus, can do as many times as i want for armpit. n yes, my armpit no more dark colored. mayb u should go to the link i had stated before this to check it out. i dono the price because mum paid for me.. lolx.

p/s : ipl does not remove hair permanently. it is just a treatment where u no need to worry bout your unwanted hair growth for few months.

in my case, i stop for 5 months d. now a bit grow. i think i will invest an epilator. (leaving to US d,can't be pampered d. T.T)

pluck will cause in-growth .. then the in-growth will be so dark when it's there until it poke out again for you to re-pluck. So, maybe certain days u can wear sleeveless and certain days you can't.

I use shave .. and i shave everyday .. I don't have many .. jz a few , so, shaving is still okay for me. But shaving the legs are nuisance @@. Must shave everyday one .. grow everyday .. sigh. Considering laser after i start working and have my own savings.

alamak, how come you gals bought such cheap permenant armpit removal packages? RM999 and RM1500?

I bought 1 package, RM4800 per 5 - 8 times....Paid 1st intallment already.......that's a laser armpit removal... heart pain heart pain...burnt so much money.....
*
Oh my, where you go? How come so expensive? Maybe you went to very popular place to do it. Start doing it already? Is it pain? You pay so much must be guarantee to the price one i think.

I done once only, still got 4 more treatments to go. Although it's expensive, i can see a very good result. I did the first treatment end of March but now only sleeping hair that growing up, those hair are very thin. Up to current I don't have to pluck or anything, cos those sleeping hair are very litte and not hairy at all.

But it's so expensive......

Um try not to pluck. Go for professional waxing, or at least get your sis or friend to do it for you. (well I can't wax myself prperly, I takde skill blush.gif ) Armpit becomes black because bacteria goes into the hair follicles left open by the absent hair. After waxing, keep ur armpit clean and dry all the time. When bathing rub/scrub gently to remove dead skin cells a the armpit area so lessen the chance of the skin cells to cover the empty follicles and allow bacteria to make a home there.

It's okay if could seee good result. Moreover it would be permenant and once you complete the treatment then you no need to do anymore things right?

ya. This is what the doctor told me, she graduated from UK, using UK's technology for the laser treatment. She said guarantee 5 times no need treatment, only indians who has hairy hormone that need about 8 treatments.

But how come her fees is sooo expensive? almost 4 times more expensive than outside's one...i really sakit hati...

Maybe u sweat alot everyday? My mum says use talcum powder to keep that area dry but i didn't try... I try not to remove hair too often.. maybe remove once or twice a week. cuz i find that if i remove hair less frequently, chance of black spots are alot less.

there's no such thing as permanent hair removal, the hairs will grow again and again. so, u just need to shave/wax for life.

hair will grow again of course, but it would be 10 years or 20 years later, that time we are already old, wrinkles can cover armpit hairs somemore.

so no worries about that.

Really? I thought permanent means wont grow anymore even 20-30 years later. Some place give guarantee worr, let say 20 years later the hair grow back, can we actually go claim back from the shop? haha...

I tried the bella hair removal, it was a free trial for underarm. It's quite effective. I only did it once but the hair stayed off for more than a month plus, if grow back also it's really thin and easily can pull out. But if you want whole package it's really expensive! RM2888 to 4888 for underarm removal 4 times i think..

Ipl would be a lil bit pain .. & you need to do for few times till the hair shaft is really gone..
if u can tolerate with the pain of being laser den u may go ahead..but to let u noe that is kinda slightly / more painful den doing hot wax..

for my opinion i would opt u to do hot waxing on your armpit and after 3 days , do a mild scrub on the treated area..( to prevent ingrown hair )
and the more u do the less hair you will have cz waxing is direct pulling ur hair roots out and to remove of dead cells of the treated area..it is fast..the most 15 min will do..( if u got hairy armpit la..>.<..)....

if u wanted to whitened up ur armpit you can try to use bleach for body hairs ..very effective n safe n easy to use. do it more often .to get a better result. laugh.gif its a vegetable dyes that most of those tan / dark ppl use to bleach their hair on body cz dey think dat waxing is painful n dun like the hair to be remove but yet want a smooth look .so they go for hair bleaching..its very cheap cost about rm 15 the most...bliv me its vry safe to use..u can get it from salon / indian shop. its 100% vegetables dyes.Any brand will do..i'm using " fem " on myself n customer.its very safe n mild..buy ony products written NO FRAGRANCE..so it wun irritate ur skin dat much lo..

1. there will be a cream & a small activator
2.scoope a correct amount of cream for ur own usage ( 1 1/2 scoope for armpit ) + a lil activator in the cream ( there will be a small spatula provided in every products so its a bout small pin size of activator will be enuf )
3.mix it
4.apply on the are u wanted to whitened it ( armpit / elbow / arms / legs ) STRICLTY NO NO FOR PRIVATE AREA AND BREAST
5. put on for about 10 min - 15 min ( u will feel slightly prickling sensation ) NO HARM
6.remove it wif cool water ( NO HOT / WARM WATER AS IT WILL IRRITATE UR SKIN PORES )
7.put on sum soothing lotion ( NO ALCOHOL / NO SWIMMING / NO HOT BATH )
8.VOILA...UR SKIN IS SMOOTHENED UP N WHITENED..ony can be applied on the area for a day..next application would AFTER 24 HRS AFTER THE TREATMENT
9. you'll feel slightly intchiness the first time when u use it...n slightly red spots on treated area . NO WORRIES ITS JUST TEMPORARY & DO NOT SCRATCH IT

same adivce for duin waxing as well..^^

i'm a beauty consultant..so the information got thru from the products knowledge & experience . so no worries ^^ wub.gif

Hi girls, normally how do you all remove armpit hair?
Shaving. Waxing. Depilitory. Laser. Plucking

How if the skin become darker?

How to clean from user posted image touser posted image?
*
I initially shave my armpit hair but the regrown hair is thicker and rough . I slowly turn to plucking my hair. Never try waxing before coz I have sensitive skin scare it will sensitize my armpit. My sis tried waxing before ,it's painful ...make me even dare not give it a try. Depilitory & Laser is better but I cant afford it.

hi..
better plucking one by one using tweezer yr hair will be finer. don't use shaver coz yr hair will be thick and lead to darken.

i use nivea deodorant whitening or dry comfort gentle care since 2000 and i dont have any problem of dark armpit.. i think nivea is the best whitening product. you should try it. icon_idea.gif

I went for marie france's armpit hair removal
Rm2.3k for 10sessions.. It was a promo price.. Still pricey though
Initially my armpit was dark and bumps all over
I have really sensitive skin, applying deodorant with alchohol will irritate my skin, hence itchy.. I will start scratching and my skin will be worse off
After going through the treatment for like 5 times, my armpit hair got thinner
Howevet before my next visit, i used epilator as i was heading to a beach trip, couldnt wait for my next treatment
After that, my armpir hair grew more.. Couldnt und why though
Feels like iv wasted the treatments that iv went through
After completing 10sessions, i still hav fine hair growing.. But much lesser
Now i signed up for another 5 sessions.. But not from marie france..
Its not really permanent, but definitely hair will grow thinner.. And it all depends to individual as well
Now no longer have bumps all over, smaller pores, no more dark armpits smile.gif

Diode laser is more superior compared to IPL. it helps enlighten discolouration due to exessive shaving.

Added on July 21, 2011, 1:28 pmI've just signed up for 5 treaments using diode laser for hair removal underarms. I paid RM1250, consider quite reasonable la.

*
I agree with you. but if you shave everyday, wouldn't ur skin become darker? how do you exfoliate?

But my problem is, my armpit is still dark no matter what product I use. Do i really need to do laser treatment to whiten it? sad.gif

I'm a guy, but am planning to get those IPL device home version. Go google for it. Its way cheaper then going for IPL at beauty centres.

In the UK, these are the popular ones. Philips Lumea, Remmington, and Rio. Another one that is gaining market share is Boots version.

In the US, Tria and Silk'n. Both are FDA approved. Although got another one called Viss or something, but not so sure bout the reviews.

I use an epilator which does a pretty good job. I've never had armpit darkening happen, although I noticed my armpit was getting more fairer when I switched to using Baking Soda as a deodorant (home remedies and it works).

Baking Soda might be irritating to some, so u can mix with CornStarch if you have sensitive skin.

I'm thinking of trying the IPL session coupons for hair removal, I've searced online and overall its reliable and effective. It also reduces the darkness of the underarm area.

Shaving works well for me, but not perfect enough (:

If you girls think IPL session is expensive, try this home version device.

I'm not sure if got in Malaysia or not. But I bought it online from UK. But do check it out. Loving the result.

I don't know if you guys... i mean girls... think its weird but. HAHAHA. I use those strong facial toner (i have sensitive skin, i bought it but I can't use it on my face...)... after i tweezing my underarm and it kinda... work... well...

It kinda.. make it look abit fairer... i've been tweezing for years but I don't notice a lot of darkness, just slightly from my childhood xD. Then when I used toner straight after I tweeze (didn't wanna waste it)... the tiny bumps from the pore will go away and i get smooth underarm. I noticed that it has been a little bit fairer o_o Of cuz it's not like straight away la. It wont keep it smooth for long but then I use toner every day on it now HAHAHA and honestly it looks so much better than months ago. Maybe I'm weird but yeah... I just... i dunno la. Didn't wanna waste it.

and I will stick to tweezing. I don't have much to tweeze honestly. D: I don't even tweeze like a lot so I guess it's... good enough for me. Waxing kinda waste money...

just google philips lumea amazon biggrin.gif its cheaper there, because they got a new model in the market now. The new model you can use it on the face. I used vpost to purchase it by the way.

But try checking out Smooth Skin by Boots. I heard better review from that. In fact, I would have purchase that if I know earlier.

Right now my hands doesn't look good because the hairs are in patches lol but looking forward to next session smile.gif

I don't know why they don't have it in Malaysia. I purchase shavers from philips here, but can't find Lumea =.=

If you are bringing it into malaysia, you don't have to get approval from energy commission. but still got 10% tax.

Here are some essential tips on shaving your armpit, many times when shaving your underarms using razor you press it a bit harder to clean it thoroughly this can cause red bumps and secondly don't put deodorant on for at least 10 min after the shower. If you are having an problem of excessive sweating then rather than using a deodorant use an antiperspirant roller to prevent sweating.

you have to go at least 5-6 sessions...to completely remove the hair as it will still grow in phases....subsequent session will remove 90% hair growth...

Hi All,

I have done IPL before.. 10 sessions for RM1K plus..

My arm get fairer n of cos less hair growth.

But after all the sessions, the hair still grow but more tiny.

they will ask u to go for touch up treatment few months once depending on ur hair growth..

so don't think that your armpit hair wont grow at all after IPL.. it still will grow..

I found a petua sumwhere;

mix a bit of kapur (the one that ppl eat with sirih) with some lime juice. usually i just use calamansi lime. easy to obtain. spread the mixture at underarm. wait a few seconds/minutes and then the armpit hair can be plucked using fingers. no need for tweezer! seriously, and it doesn't hurt at all. my armpit now less dark than before also.

Happy trying! smile.gif
