Am I required to maintain a balance of RM10k in my trading account at all times? What if I don't care about the flat brokerage fee?

I just tried to submit a sell order and it got rejected. The error message said something like "Order not available for KK / Sibu branch." I did open my account while I was in KK but I'm currently in KL. Anyone know what's up with that?

I have a nominee account under iTrade. Normally I don't receive any documents from the companies I own shares in at all. Will I receive the documents for the AMFIRST rights issues automatically or do I have to take special measures to ensure that I get them?

I keep having trouble with the platform. I can't seem to log in to the new trading hall at all. The old trading hall works but is ugly. Is it just my connection or is everyone else having this problem?

So I recently received some dividends but the bank charges seem ridiculously high. Normally it is a flat RM3.00. What's up with this? Can I do anything about this?

is yr cimb current/savings account tied to itrade bursa trading account? or u use another bank?

for itrade account tied to cimb bank account, there is no dividend charge. what is paid by counter is what u get, 100%.
*
It's tied to my CIMB bank account, but it's nominee CDS instead of direct CDS, that's why there is a dividend processing charge. But normally it's only RM3 flat per dividend payment. I'm okay with that because it's a bit more convenient for a few things (for example when there are rights issues they will get instructions from me and fill out the forms for me etc.)

But I don't understand why it says CASH DIVIDEND here this time and why the processing fee is more than 10% of the dividend received.

Until today (how long already? about 1 year??), CIMB still haven't resolved their java version issue?? I still need to click on the "bypass proxy" in order to run the platform! The new java version has already been there for....about 1 year?? And they still sleeping?? And their new look platform, after months now, still not stable. How to trade like this?? And they are the biggest investment bank in Malaysia?? Malaysia memang boleh!!  yawn.gif
*
Yeah I always need to click bypass proxy for it to work too. The proxy version never works for me. When I do this sometimes it gives me the Old Trading Hall, sometimes the New Trading Hall. I'm very frustrated by this too. The platform feels very unreliable.

So annoying the secure8 server is the only usable (with the old interface) and now it seems to be overloaded with people. What the heck is CIMB doing? Really feel like complaining now...

Looks like everyone is forced to use the old platform. Does anyone know how to trade odd lots using the old platform? I know that in the new platform you can switch the market to odd lots but I can't find it in the old platform.

Its under "Market" button, then "Normal" then lastly "OddLots"
*
That interface exists under the new platform but not under the old one. Under the old platform, if you click the "Market" button the only options are "Summary", "Indices" and "Scoreboard".

Anyway, I wrote a complaint e-mail yesterday and I received a telephone call from my dealer. She asked me to only use the secure8 server by going to:

https://lite.itradecimb.com.my/

as someone previously posted. She claims that the new platform should work at that address, but it still doesn't work for me. I can log in but never receive any data. The only way I can receive data is if I click on the "Click here if you are unable to see the Stock prices after installing JAVA - switch to bypass proxy mode" at the top which takes me to the old platform.

Can anyone get the new platform working on the secure8 server? I'm using Chrome and the latest version of Java if it makes any difference.

old platform odd lots

new platform odd lots
[attachmentid=3450877]
EDIT:
secure8 server has the new trading platfrom
the rest secure1 to secure 7 only have old trading platform
itrade takes off the bypass proxy mode link for old platform. the way to bypass proxy manually is adding &mode=0 to the link
example:
https://secure6.itradecimb.com.my/gcCIMBOB/...?lang=en&mode=0

Okay looks like I was confused over which is the new one and which is the old one. Can someone explain how I would sell odd lots under the new system?

Hi Wankongyew,

Boo! tongue.gif

Google Chrome should be the best for the new itrade to work on. It may not have brought you directly to the new platform. if thats the case there will be a 'New Trading Hall' button at the top right which links to the New Trading Hall platform.
*
Whoa. Haha, you're my dealer, that's so cool. Feels weird to see someone on the Stock Exchange section of LYN who knows exactly what and how much I have in my portfolio. It appears that I was confused over which one is the old platform and which is the new one. But yes, using just the link you gave me to only access the secure8 server, it does seem to work fine now. Thanks for the assistance.

Anyone know how I can edit a watchlist under the new system? I can create a new one, delete an old one or rename and old one. But how can I add or remove stocks from a watchlist? Under the old system I could just right click on a stock to add or remove but this doesn't seem possible now.

Using the new trading hall on the secure8 server works for me. I use Chrome on Windows 7 with the latest version of Java, directly downloaded from the Java website.

Yes you can transfer the money out from the itrade account, if not mistaken around 3 working days.

Perhaps some known remisier of CIMB here can confirm the answers smile.gif
*
I'm pretty sure it only takes one day for me. Very often, I sell my stocks and having nothing interesting to buy move it to FD. I just need to send in the withdrawal request on CIMB Clicks. The next day I see that the cash is available and can put it into an FD.

Yesterday i transfer my money fr cimb click to itrade.. but till today, the trading limit is still 0.. anything unusual? i thought is within one day can show already.. and one more thing how if i want to transfer out the money fr itrade. i dint found any button or option inthe platform?
*
Don't know about transferring in. It always takes only one day for me. But depending on how your iTrade account is set up it may be necessary to maintain a balance of at least RM10k at all times in your account. I find that if I spend the money in the account until only a few thousand is left, it will frequently show that my trading limit is zero. Need to deposit until account balance is more than RM10k to show correct trading limit.

As for transferring out, on CIMB Clicks, I do My Investments -> Clicks Trader / Deposit -> Withdrawal Request. I can have the cash in my normal savings account the next day.

I was finally able to log in but only after many attempts. I know that they were down yesterday for maintenance. Looks like there are still some problems.
