I called CS today and they said that:

1. i*tradePro is a software based training platform. You're paying for the licence to use all the fancy features.

2. i*trade is the web-based trading platform and it'll not be obsolete.

I recalled that there's no necessity to deposit any money to the trading account until you bought any shares to settle.

Is this RM10k apply only for cash on margin account? What about account without margin? Still need RM10k?

About day trade 0.15% for CIMB securities, what does that mean? Does that mean if I do day trading (buy and sell in the same day) I will only be charged 0.15% brokerage, stamp duty, contract fees, etc?
*
Intra-day (same day) trading brokerage fee is 0.15% while inter-day is 0.42%.

Can it be match even if the market not open?
*
How to get matched if the market hasn't opened. You can place an order and then you may want to observe the pre-trading session to see if your input order is being queued; otherwise, you may want to cancel/revise the order.

how do i see "observe the pre-trading session to see if your input order is being queued; " ???

submitted not equal to being queued ?
oh i see... cool.. similar to TP markers and SL markers tongue.gif
*
Your trading platform is able to show the pre-trading session at 8.30 am or 2.00 pm like normal session. If you observe clearly, you would able to see numbers are being "keyed in" into the queue and etc.

Pre-Opening Session

1. Enter, modify or delete orders
2. No order matching is done
3. Theoretical Opening Price (TOP) based on orders entered is dynamically calculated, and the last TOP calculated before opening time is set as the natural opening price
4. Order in order book is broadcasted

Ensure that the pop-up blocker is disabled. It uses platform similar FPX or CC with 3D Security.

I wanted to propose you on clearing the Java cache from the platform itself and also clear all the temporary Internet files including the cookies. But I forgotten to do so and my Streamyx was down for the whole night yesterday. It has slipped my mind. I was experiencing a login trouble to CIMB Cross Border account last week and the CIMB Singapore CS asked me to do that.

Aiya, have to go to the Tropicana center again and open another direct trading account & CDS. Now I am out of the country for quite a while so I guess by the time I have time to go back and change the account, the fees will have kicked in already.  doh.gif

Wonder can do it online or not.... laugh.gif

I doubt that you can do it online. sleep.gif
