correct. and you can open both account, provided you have 10k for clicks trader(RM8.88) and RM10 charges processing fees for cds account registration. Done mine for 3 working days, migrate from hle.

Does this means you can trade even when your account balance is less than RM10k, in which case the brokerage fee will be the standard rate?
And I presumed those shares bought goes into the same CDS account.

That's interesting, coz I only have ClicksTrader account, and if my balance is less than RM10k, on the next trading day, it will show balance RM1 only which prevents me from buying anything.

can someone explain to me why would anyone with more than rm10k trade with itrade? clickstrader is just so much cheaper, proportionately too to your trade size

if i were to purchase rm 1million worth of shares, using clickstrade i'll be paying rm8.88 in brokerage, using itrade i'll be paying 1 million x 0.42% = rm4200

surely this rm4191.12 difference outweighs any benefit you might have using itrade? especially when they're both pretty much the same?

Hi, i have 2 questions here.

I am using CIMB i-trade.

1) If i want to transfer the credit back to my CIMB saving account, fill in the form is the only way i can do? Where can i get the form? Is it in any CIMB bank?
2) i-trade account also got interest, right? How much is the interest rate? How is the interest to be given? Straight add into the credit in i-trade?

Thanks.

1) email them and tell them to bank in the money into your bank account
personally i just give them my bank account no and instruct them to credit the proceeds into my acc

2) i think the interest is about 2% (no official figures though)
interest is credited into your trust acc

By email can instruct them credit the trust account's balance to bank account?
Just simply write a email or need to fill up the form manually and scan into email?
Can you provide the email address?

thanks

Yup.
No scanning required.
I just send them a simple email at itrade@cimb.com

eg:
QUOTE
Hi,

Please credit my bank account/trust account stated below for the sale of xxx due on xxx.

Otherwise they'll prepare a cheque for you on T+3 by default which you then have to collect at their office.

I've asked before if its possible to have a standing instruction, i.e. to credit the money into the trust account every time I sell my shares but they said no. sad.gif

Maybe someone else can shed more light on this matter.

No problem. Just let us know if it works. smile.gif

je2305, what you need in the long term is a reliable trading platform and low brokerage rates as well as good customer service.
Don't be quick to judge a company based on how long it takes to open a CDS account. (Unless of course they take a very long time to open it, then you should be consider other companies) tongue.gif
