Are you using itrade? Can your system display GLD in NYSE exhange? My system cannot.   unsure.gif
The SGX exchange can display ETFs listed in Singapore, but none could be found in NYSE.

Thanks!  notworthy.gif
*
Sorry can;t help you there, I have not activated I-Trade's international trading. But I found this info for you on why you cannot find the ETF's... it is listed on a sub exchange (like our mesdaq) in NYSE.

QUOTE
NYSE Arca, previously known as ArcaEx, an abbreviation of Archipelago Exchange, is a securities exchange which offers both stocks and options for trading. It is owned by NYSE Euronext, which merged (as NYSE Group) with Archipelago Holdings in a reverse merger on 2006-02-27. Most of the ETFs listed in the US market space are listed on NYSE Arca, which is the key reason why i*Trade@CIMB offers trading on NYSE Arca online.

QUOTE
Trading on stocks listed in NYSE Arca is available by phone only. Intraday trading is prohibited. Hence, if you have bought a NYSE Arca stock, you can only sell it during the next trading session at the earliest. For trading on stocks listed in NYSE Arca, please contact your Dealer’s Representative or Authorized Officer of CIMB Bank Berhad or our Central Dealing Team at (603) 2096 1655.

So.. Itrade SG can trade at Acra, but Itrade MY cannot... :hmm:Your other option is to set up a trading account in the US with a local US broker for ETF purchase, look at US trading thread. sweat.gif

So can trade ETF via NYSE Acra through Itrade MY? hmm.gif

Ic, if so do I need to call the remiser every time I want to withdraw the amount to my CIMB SA? :erm:

Why you want to transfer to SA with every share sold, the trust account have reasonable interest as well, and you can purchase future shares using the money in your trust.

Unless of course you are trying to liquidate all your positions... wink.gif

You can manually change and edit all your portfolio data for each counter. I did mine several times... laugh.gif

It is ALL in One trading platform, just call your dealer to link to "Non-Ringgit" to trade the other 5 markets

Any changes to the cross border trade rates? With the linkage between KLSE + SGX yesterday? Or still the same? wink.gif

Until today (how long already? about 1 year??), CIMB still haven't resolved their java version issue?? I still need to click on the "bypass proxy" in order to run the platform! The new java version has already been there for....about 1 year?? And they still sleeping?? And their new look platform, after months now, still not stable. How to trade like this?? And they are the biggest investment bank in Malaysia?? Malaysia memang boleh!!   yawn.gif
*
I have to click bypass proxy and then click revert to old version of Java for the old trading hall to work. If click to fast, auto log out. doh.gif

Now straight away click new trading hall.. the icon some times there and sometimes not there. laugh.gif hmm.gif

New trading hall if click too much back and forth between portfolio & market, will then refuse to show updated portfolio results...have to log in and out again rclxub.gif

P/S Their NEW trading hall is the SAME as their lite/tablet version available few years ago tongue.gif Basically we got downgrade instead of upgrade....

PP/S Their trading hall software/support/routing all provided by N2N Connect Bhd.. suggest all NOT to buy their shares seeing how crappy their programming is.

You got disable pop-up blocker or not?

After you e-deposit at Itrade, it will pop up the login for the cimb clicks page. Enter login, add TAC and click confirm.

The Indonesia one charges me Rp 30k per month for a super fast trading platform... laugh.gif

Yok,

I think it boils down to the remisier, not the IB's fault. sweat.gif

I have been using CIMB Itrade Malaysia and CIMB Sekuritas Indonesia, both have been trouble free so far. Albeit I have yet to transact in multi currency accounts.

For me I do prefer to have less hassle with the remisier and able to do everything myself since I am based overseas. In malaysia the few e-mails i send to the remisier is replied within 24 hours which is good enough for me.

In Indonesia CIMB Sekuritas i merely have to BBM to check cash transfer/place buy order and it will be acknowledged immediately as well. In fact, CIMB sekuritas gave me "almost" institutional T+3 brokerage rate, trading limit 3x cash value, with no minimum. laugh.gif

I do trade myself through online platform, just that for certain things (ie. fund transfer, payment of different currency etc ) that required me to give instructions to the person/remiser assigned to me. This is exactly the same case for Jupiter. So I'm under online platform fees, not personal remiser fees. Well ya, maybe I am bad luck to be assigned to an irresponsible + not knowledgeable remisor who give me wrong information and sometimes making mistakes that would have give me forex loss.  doh.gif

Other than that, I'm also not happy with their report/system.
1. The email report to me for the day of my transaction is not complete (without displaying fees). I need to wait 1 more day for local stock and 3 more days for foreign stocks to get the complete report.

2. There is no where to verify or record down my setting of "settle currency" column when I do the transaction. This is bad since how can they not display this important setting?

3. The updating of money in my various currency accounts is slow, sometimes it takes one week or even longer to see the update. This makes me difficult to keep track of my money since I may need to do 5 transactions within a week! I need to record down everything by myself! Then what's the use for computer system?? Badly design software.

shakehead.gif

But you are satisfying with this kind of system?
*
Ok, for me I am not using multi currency account so cant comment on that.

1. Yes the email of the daily trasaction is without fees, but since i use J-Stock as portfolio, fees are calculated automatically.

2. If i vaguely remember there is an option to settle in the chosen currency in the online platform...but i am not sure hmm.gif

3. So far my accounts update is instant... you can see the settlement page, there is debit and credit column. It display cash due to and from you so you can see the balance.

Hope the above helps. wink.gif
