QUOTE(simple.ology @ Jun 4 2009, 12:12 PM)
Greetings to all the pro out there...
I just open my itrade account with CIMB...
and deposited 1k to initiate it (into my current account) and was told need to wait about 5 working days in order for them to sent me an email with all my online account details....
ok... no problem so far...

Question: Do I need to maintain RM 10, 000 at all time in order to allow me to trade? For example, if I would like to buy 1 lot of IOI at RM 4.00 then I will need to have RM14, 000 ++ in my account to trade?

koko jeje... enlighten me plz...

No need to maintain the balance

So does it mean if don't maintain, my brokerage fees will be RM 12 instead of RM 8.88 right?
That's weird... that fellow in the bank told me to maintain my 10k balance in order allowing me to trade....

If you are asking about the 10K special rate, yes you have to maintain it. Sorry, I thought about the first time deposit account with minimum 1K .. smile.gif

I spent hours reading all the posts, so tiring...  rclxub.gif and realized that many jokers asked the same questions again... and again... and again...

I found only one post is useful...   rclxms.gif

I guess you are from CIMB right? The "Happy Investing" is so similar to "Happy Trading" every time I receive email from CIMB iTrade. Anyway, thank you very much for your information.

If you visit the main topics that have been pinned above especially for beginners, you can get as many same question and answer. More than you can imagine ..

Brokerage is 0.15% for day trade

thanks for the info mate thumbup.gif ..

the calculation gonna be?

Buy 0.15/100 x 2000 = 3

Sell 0.15/100 x 2050 = 3.10

Duty stamp = RM 4 ???? (RM 1000 = RM 1) i forgot this thing liao .. doh.gif

Profit = 50 - (3+3.10+4) = RM 39.90

Like that ah? rclxub.gif

Rm12 or 0.15% whichever higher ( for daytrade )

stamp duty rm1 for rm1000 or part of eg 1001 will be rm2

clearing fees 0.03%
Add these 3 will be the cost nod.gif

You can check the monthly statement under Report. Or you can call customer service 03-20849890. Why don't you call your Remisier? He/she is helping you smile.gif

*
monthly statement under report only available for the recent 3 months. I'm just afraid if I manage to find any mistake (around RM 400-800 ) due to miscommunication or there is no problem, the trust/confidence between us gonna to break down. sweat.gif

Clearing and stamping is as usual.

If it is intraday, it is 0.1%. If different trading days, usual 0.42%. No extra charges for contra.

Correct me if I'm wrong laugh.gif

I think they charges me 0.42% rate or RM 12 minimum liao. sweat.gif . Contra loss ... doh.gif
