Since the US has anti-piracy law and very active enforcement... another thing is that they always get cheaper stuff than us here in malaysia.... we cannot simply compare to them...
We are all complaining abt blu-ray pricing here so expensive locally... still those ori dvds are still too expensive, making blu-ray prices even higher (sad but thats business)... even those cheap dvds reprinted here locally are not worthwhile imho
for blu-ray to be mainstream, it needs to get high demand and making dvd obsolete... so it is importantant to educate the public abt blu-ray technology.... bringing the ultimate hi-def home entertainment... adoption rate will rise...
some ppl haven't even heard of blu-ray...
atm the mainstream is still dvd, yet ppl complained dvd prices too expensive n resort to piracy instead.... who wouldn't tempted into cheap dvds...
as for bd piracy, its just lame tactic to woo ppl of its hi-def bd... in fact its just dvd... so dont support it...
