really.. ?

yeah..if you loved TDK as a movie, then you'll love the BD.
only one minor complaint though...i think there's too little supplements for TDK. i mean yeah, you have an extra disc for just the supplements, but it's still lacking of a good behind the scenes feature. there are a few short interviews with christian bale, but no sign of the rest.
is it because this is to honor heath ledger's death?
but anyway, the supplements are quite interesting (including one real psychological take on batman's character and the villains) and all in HD (1080i).
so yeah, still..it's one BD you all should not miss!
p.s: i still think the dialogue was a bit too low in the early part of the movie. especially ones with Gordon.

No, I don't think DVD will be tossed up like VCD but VCD definitely will be tossed up like VHS tapes.
A good BD player can upscale a good original DVD to near HiDef quality but definitely doesn't work well
for fakes or pirated D9 craps.
For VCDs, this should never have taken off in Asia but some poor folks in Malaysia are conned
into this format, are stupid enough to buy VCD only players as even as late as last year.
Shops like Speedy and HVN should stop selling VCDs immediately. It doesn't make economic sense to
continue to remaster and downgrade movies to VCDs format.
i second this. right now, it's gonna be DVD and BD in malaysia.
although blu-ray is the future, in malaysia, it may not be the primary choice for now. if you're talking original BDs, it will be a primary choice soon enough, seeing that BDPs are getting cheaper as well as the PS3.
however, as long as original BDs still have that 149 tag price, i'm pretty sure that DVD players will still reign supreme, seeing that now ppl will resort to the lower end of the high def experience (BD rips).
