Hi, I'm a newbie. I'd like to know what do you guys check or lookout for before buying a particular share or counter. Do you have a checklist? Mind to share?
Example checklist.
1. Sufficient money in the account.
2. P/E ratio.
3. Industry information / outlook.
4. Company specific information / outlook.
5. Company financial statements.
6. 52 week high/low
7. Ex/Cum dividend.
8. Competitor's P/E ratio.
9. Management profile.
10. Global influence, ie DJIA, S&P 500, forex movement, US economic reports....
11. Rumours.
12. Your own portfolio, ie check if you already have more than enough assets in shares than cash / real estate.
13. Technical analysis, ie charts, moving average.. etc.
14. Analysis from stockbrokers.
