I took 6 months after taking antibiotic for twicewith 1 year period each time, that last for 6 month only then everything comes back, then i Just finished 6 months of roaccutane, now still on antibiotic.

What I really concern about is, does it really cure you? Anyone took it and not as much acne as before? Share your experiences?

ya i took it for 6 month during my form 5 time.. ya it cure my acne.. i was acne vulgaris las time.. but now.. a clear of tat le .. jus sometimes pop out a few pimple when i m stress or having a rough 9.. the 6 month of roaccutane was cranky for me.. my lip is always dry n cracking.. need to always be moisturize by Vaseline n i constantly thirsty so drink more than 7 litre a day.. diet was tight as set by the dr., spicy and oily food are only taken in a very very small quantity.. must exercise to sweat out .. the dr. advise so .. so jus follow lor.. 3 month gone by.. skin becoming better lor.. but lips still cracking.. sometimes body skin also become very dry need to use aqueous cream to bath n moisturize all the time.. after 6 month.. skin all clear.. (the pill only work internally u still need to apply some of those tropical cream(steroid base) on the face to remove the scar..now no more taking any medicine le .. jus using aiken product .. face ok lor..

So I started breaking out when I was 16/17 and it got sooo bad. Cystic, pustule, papule? U name it I have all of it on my face. So I read about the infamous accutane. The first 3 months are the worst, my acne purging was out of this world. It stated clearing up on the 4 months tho! So I went on it for 7 months and I stopped. A single acne didn't appear even once on my face but 3 months after that it all came back to me... I was frustrated honestly. Just when my face is clearing ughh. I went to a derma before and they told me that it's because of my hormones (suprise suprise). I wanted to take accutane again actually... but I don't want to risk it. The medicine dries out ur oil glands. Here's a thing, our oil glands produce so much oil for a reason. We have acne for a reason. The medicine decided to mess up our oil gland. If that continues in the future, u will have another problem other than acne. Truthfully, ur face will look worse than when it have acne.. and when it happens, we can't do anything to bring our oil gland back to before back. I- when I was searching about accutane on the internet, NO ONE said about this thing. I'm goin to be honest, yes I'm ashamed of my acne. I felt embarrassed when people asks me about it. All part of my face had and are having acne right and it hurts.. but I'm not a fool. I won't risk my life, my future health just for this. Yes I wanted to be pretty.. those 3 months that I told u how my acne cleared up? People actually started complimenting how pretty I am again. Since I break out no one ever said that. I'm not full of myself but my family's "blood" is gorgeus and I'm the only one in my family that has acne. I could confidently say that I was pretty, just because of acne, just because of these red bumps on my face, I don't feel that way anymore.. but everything has it's price. I ain't gonna risk destroying my oil glands and regret like all that other people out there.
