Appstore saved games can be backed-up and restored using AppBackup from Cydia. This guide is showing how to backup and restore saved games after iPhone has been restored.
Preparation:
- pwned iPhone 2g/3g
- AppBackup
- openSSH
- winSCP / Fugu
To backup Appstore games saved:
1. Install AppBackup and openSSH from Cydia. Use the search function to look for AppBackup and openSSH.
2. Launch AppBackup on iPhone. Backup the games saved one by one or backup all the games saved.
3. Set autolock to never. Launch winSCP for Windows or Fugu for Mac, SSH to iPhone.
4. Navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library/AppBackup and copy the folder called tarballs to computer local drive.
To restore Appstore games saved after iPhone has been restored:
1. Install or sync Appstore games to iPhone using iTunes.
2. Install AppBackup and openSSH from Cydia.
3. Launch AppBackup on iPhone. Backup the games saved one by one or backup all the games saved.
4. Set autolock to never. Launch winSCP for Windows or Fugu for Mac, SSH to iPhone.
5. Navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library/AppBackup. Copy the tarballs from computer local drive to iPhone and overwrite it if necessary.
6. Launch AppBackup and restore the games saved.
