Features

The W810i is part of Sony Ericsson's Walkman line of mobile phones.[1] While being similar to the W800, the W810 has benefited from several improvements. Most notably are quad band connectivity, EDGE support for faster wireless data transfers, a slightly enhanced display, but slightly reduced battery life.

Other features include a full function internet browser, 2 mega pixel digital camera with auto-focus, the HPM-70 stereo headset, Memory Stick PRO Duo slot, 20 MB of internal memory, and a music-only mode where phone functions are fully turned off, this mode also allows the phone to be used as a Walkman in areas mobile phones would usually be barred from, such as airplanes and hospitals, in addition to providing longer battery-life. The phone supports MP3, AMR, MIDI, IMY, EMY, WAV (16kHz maximum sample rate) and AAC audio formats and MPEG-4 and 3GPP video formats.

While official support for Memory Stick PRO Duo is capped at 4GB, many users have reported using 8GB sticks with full functionality (read and write).

Cosmetics
There are many small cosmetic changes from the W800, but most noticeable is the absence of the classic joystick that has been found on the majority of Sony Ericsson mobile phones since the T68i. This has been replaced by a D-pad designed to improve ease of use when listening to music and to provide a longer life to the keypad (as the classic joystick tended to fail due to dust). The casing color has changed from burnt orange and cream to satin black. The sliding camera lens cover has also been omitted completely. However, a K750i or W800 back cover (with lens cover) will fit with minor modifications.

the MSPD are way too expensive
last I checked the 4 GB Sony MSPD only RM500, that was expensive enough already.

V6 already... btw used set price for w810i is around RM300-RM350... I might sell mine...

Well, the W810 is much better then the W850, even the W610, IMO.

The W810 has

- Autofocus camera, which the W850 doesn't.
- Can zoom in 2mp and 1mp, where the W610 can't, although it has AF.
- Software is much more faster if compared to the W850 and W610

there are still many ppl using this phone..
but not much of them came back to this thread as this phone is relatively stable n nothing more can be discuss

but like the phone very much...

got one phone faulty come in today from my sister - problem, once turn on the phone, only white screen keeps bliking and not entering "startup" screen and also the option to choose either start phone or flight mode.
I ams suspecting hardware issue on this but if I would to update the firmware on this, can I do it with the phone turned off?

Quite used to it liao, but the i use most is the flash/torchlight, any other SE phones that has the torchlight function and is still in production? I heard the K810i is able to do it, but the LED is orange and need to install an app.

was planning to get a k660i, but there's no flash, autofocus camera function and i've read about all sorts of problems with it, themes reset all of a sudden, sudden off, etc...

bruised: i oso use it as a flash/torchlight. very convenient lol.

Hi guys. I am also using w810i, been 1 year. Today I found out a serious problem in my phone. I noticed that ther free memory on my phone is reduced a lot. I am sure that I didn't install or add any stuff in the phone recently. So I plug the phone into the com and see what's going on. What I realized is that the total size of phone memory is 11mb.

The free memory for w810i is suppose to be 20mb, and I know it was 20mb when I bought it. But today it turns out to be 11mb. The 9mb is gone with no reason.

Do anyone know what's the problem I am facing? Is there anyway to get back that 9mb?

try check your memory usage of your contacts

I am looking for a w810i too!! Overall quality beats even the latest phones.. Btw, theres one on sale now at lelong.com.my by bort (RedzTechnologies). Pls do not trust him. A lot of ppl have been complaining about his products and most likely hes a fraudster selling new phones that are actually refurbished one! Neways, anyone wit knowledge of where to get AP or Ori w810i do let me know..thanks!
