what kinda flash cart would others recommend me to get, since i want to give my old GBA(not SP) to my brother along with a flash cart for some ol' skool fun?

i've searched the internet and saw some with built in memory, some that can use microSD
so the real problem now is there are so many types of carts, i don't know which one can support GBA and which one is for DS only.

Wow, wat a coincidence! Just now i'm imagining myself answering this type of question and now such question really pop up!

OK so before I proceed, make sure u do own the original copy of the games u played!

First of all, i'm in your shoes too some time ago. Usually those slot-2 cart available is either for ds lite only or for all(GBA, SP, micro, ds, lite). The one that is compatible with all is the one that has regular GBA size instead of ds lite slot-2 size. There are three that GBA can use if i'm not mistaken. This doesn't include those with built-in memory. Those 3 are M3 perfect, Supercard and EZ flash (IV if not mistaken). For M3, obviously u wouldnt want to take the lite one, so choose between M3 slim or M3 mini-sd. But if u choose the M3 Pro series instead of Perfect, some games will suffer from slowdown. The same goes to Supercard. So M3 Perfect is the winner here since it has fast built in 32MB RAM. Since it is the best slot-2 card out there, it is also the most expensive cart. I dont think u can get it easily though since it is rare nowadays. For EZ flash I have no idea.

I think built-in ones might be faster, but there's no guarantee that the built-in memory will lasts as long as those branded one such as Kingston. Besides that, there is also a thread on flash cart somewhere on this forum. So go read that.
