Hahaha.. I go to Garden City and hang out whole noon there due to the rain!

My plan to go to Rottnest Island go down south that day rolleyes.gif

Luckily although it's a rainy week, I managed to go Caversham, Pinnacles, Cerventes, Yallingup, Margaret River & Dunsborough with minimal rain!  cool2.gif

Just got back from Perth earlier. It was indeed super cold the couple of days that I was there - went down to as low as 8 degrees Celsius at night. Love it there in Perth!

Coldest I had in Perth is 2 degrees during my 1st trip.
I've been there 4 times, you tell me! It's a marvelous place.

There's always new fabulous food to try every time I go and a lot of places to explore as Western Aus is humongous. biggrin.gif

Only can offer my comments based on what I know, a lot of the places I've not heard before.

Hamelin Bay - last time i visited is in the late afternoon around 5pm, because that is the time the stingrays will swim ashore and there are people feeding them. Even touched them myself but not sure how safe is it but a lot of people are gathering around the stingrays, which is alleged to be friendly. Just double check if you are going there for the stingrays as I see you plan to go in the morning. So maybe you can put it on the first day to visit before you check in. Not too far from margaret river anyway.

Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse - I see that you also visiting another lighthouse on the first day, which I've not been to before so I couldn't comment much. But I reckon cape Leeuwin is good enough already with amazing views, unless you are really interested in those lighthouses and their histories. So maybe you might want to choose one to visit?

Wineries - again, unless you are really into wines, otherwise maybe just visit one or two should suffice. Voyager is big enough and has amazing views to spend the afternoon there.

Can also suggest you to visit the Margaret River Bakery for breakfast, awesome pastries and coffees.

Day 4 - Since you plan on getting your dinner from IGA at 5pm, I'd suggest buying something earlier and have a picnic in Kings Park so it won't be so rush. Spending one hour there is definitely not enough. Might as well plan to spend more time there then next day (day5) don't have to go back. Not sure which month you are going, but if it's spring or autumn, it should be very cooling and comfortable on a good sunny day.

Day 6: Double check on the showtimes in Caversham to match the time you are going so you don't miss the shows. Your kid should be interested in those shows.

I would exchange day 5 with day 6 just in case weather interrupts your plan on day 6, at least you can visit fremantle in the rain but you wouldn't want to feed the kangaroos under the rain in caversham.

That's all I can offer for now. You can pm me if you need more assistance, i can try my best to recall my memories and experience.

What else is in hamelin bay? Sorry I only know about the stingrays in the late afternoon.

If you're an alcohol person then worthwhile to go and visit different wineries.

Regarding the weather, just have to bring a light jacket i think, or really can't stand cold weather then bring a thicker jacket. Since you are renting car then that shouldn't be a problem, no need to carry around in case if its too warm for you

Oh, didn't know your day 5 is a sunday. Yes, sunday is the best to visit fremantle.

Some of the places you can visit are burswood, hillarys, harbour town, cottesloe/scarborough beach...

What food you like to eat? Halal or non halal?? Mostly I go non-halal

Breakfast, mostly I will prepare at home as their breakfast can be damn freaking filling until lunch can't masuk but this two is my fav spot so far if I eat out
1 - East Village Perth (CBD - near to Perth Underground station)

2 - Kava Cafe (39A Bristol Ave, Bicton) - need driving

Lunch & Dinner depense on location that you are I think

Freo
1. Little Creatures - Craft Beer & Pizza
I love their Pale Ale wub.gif , I found out Mercato Pavi got sell them rclxm9.gif

2. Kailis (my personal preference over Cicerello's)
Go for Fried Seafood Platter if you have few people sharing so you can enjoy other food if you only in Freo for a day.
Their grill platter is not that good but you may go for their grill Lobster but recent price is AUD 92 per kilo which is way expensive than Lobster Shack.
That is if it's not in your plan to go Lobster Shack. Never miss out eating Lobster in Aus cause it's way more fresh, juicy and their meat is thick.

3. Fremantle Markets
- Eat St's Seafood Paella
- Chimek's Chicken Wings
- Lena Lu's Bambolini (can get at Murray St Weekend Market too) - Italian Donuts
- The Honey Cake (very sweet but pure from honey - same can get at Murray St Weekend Market also)

4. Monk - Craft Beer also but I no eat there before lol so minum onli

5. San Churros - Churros & Chocolate drink (but another place mia chocolate drink in CBD nicer brows.gif )

CBD (I rarely lunch in CBD actually hahah)

1. Macca's aka McDonald hahhaa - Their Gourmet Angus Truffle and Cheese is sinful like hell!

2. Jaws Sushi - considerably affordable and fresh (dont convert currency ok)

3. Koko Black - Super sinful chocolate place which i say the drink nicer. The dessert, the truffles and drinks .. you won't regret especially in cold weather somemore

.... so many lehhh .. saya sudah malas mau type sad.gif

But if you got money and eat a lot, Atrium Buffet @ Crowne Casino is quite spoiling wub.gif

U need Thai & Malaysian food place also? unsure.gif

Shops actually open at 11am. Tourist spots usually around 9am.

Anyway since it's in the season, you might wanna take a look at Araluen Botanic Garden if you wife and kid loves flowers. It's Spring in Araluen, lots of flowers especially tulips.

You might wanna spare quite an amount of time to drive up down to Margaret River, due to speed limits it might takes you around 4 - 5 hours on the road.
As the drive to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse is way further down and you already visiting Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, you may forgo the Leeuwin one to spend more time around.

IF you like beer, try Black Brewing Co. at Margaret River Region. Their Bao Bao Milk Stout is nice!! .. their tasting set is AUD15 for 4 types of Craft Beer.

Anyway, Fremantle Markets actually open Fri-Sun.

Hi guys,
I fill up the form on Hertz for a Suzuki Swift rental in Perth for 6 days and its just AUD206.
I believe that's just the rental of the vehicle itself, what are the insurance charges like ?
