Go crazy in a game that will take ur breath away Wii gamers! This mature title is set to make hearts pop off, heads impaled with Stop signs and many more brutalities.

Mad World at Gamespot.com

Tentative release is on March 31st. If the videos and screenshots are gory enough to set up demands, I wouldn't mind doing my best of efforts to bring us Wii gamers the game. But to pull this off, we're gonna need a whole lot of order for that. biggrin.gif

My simple analysis. The main guy (Jack) sounds like the guy who voiced Wolverine in the cartoon series in the past. And one of the commentators sounds like John Dimaggio, famous for his voice as Bender in Futurama and Marcus Fenix of Gears of War.

The voices look very well done. But the gameplay is what we want, and blood is what you'll get. The 3rd Person view seems more like a Gears of War style camera, but at some points it looks like it was taken from God Hand, which I very much adore. Then again Platinum games is also made up of the old RE and Dino Crisis series guys. So, expect very much goodness from them!

For goodness sake, this game should not be played by kids.
Man.... parents must be worried seeing this,
they thought they avoided GTA and here comes MadWorld for their kids.

But i am no kids, so GIVE ME THAT! SEGA!!!!

They did. At UK, some parents were complaining that Wii should be carnage free.

I say BS. tongue.gif

and ppl wonder why NMH was released without the blood in UK.... if u read UK game magazines, the writers and readers often take a knock to these individuals.

it seems NMH2 will get two version in UK, one with free-flowing blood and one without.

New info for Mad World! Sadly, they didn't wanna improvise using the Balance Board for the game. It's good to curb stomp something, and make ur balance board broken much faster. tongue.gif

i have a similar(same?) interview with inaba and the director in the dec 08 issue of nintendo power....

i like how they teased that no one has actually view the cutscenes or storyline of this game and the game does have a decent story to tell. that got me interested in the game again.... drool.gif

unfortunately that will be no colorised version of the game to be included as a bonus unlockable, apparently the team have tried to color the game before and the end result was not to expectations.

Why, it should be the same interview. Nintendo Power and 1up are under the same company of gaming mags (Ziff Davis I believe). But now 1up has been bought and EGM is closing shop.

Gamespot's got a hands on with this!

http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/madworl...g=topslot;img;1

Seems like the camera is the only problem with some hitches. But, if it proves to be fatal, then you might not play this later. huhu.

Lets hope for the best!

this thread needs a serious bump since the game's coming out this week.

ok so i have heard that the story in madworld is suppose to be good but i had no idea this good, the director of vagrant story/FFXII was roped into production as a story consultant.

http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3172821

http://www.1up.com/do/blogEntry?bId=898147...cUserId=5379721

could be old news for some but good news to me.

So Gamespot just reviewed the game, it's 7.5
Quite low than I expected with so many hype with this game.

why should you base the score of the game actually to say if it's good or not? IGN gave it a 9. Other sites are reviewing them differently. If you want to, go ahead. But if you can't, then go for next time.

My point is to say that if you really like the game, go ahead and buy it regardless of the shortcomings. Because to me, a score means nothing. It's what I understand of the game that makes or breaks.

Besides, I don't mind the game being short and the camera being a bit clunky. I'm ok with that since they had God Hand.

i agree with kyo, take it from someone who bought oneechan even with those horrible reviews. tongue.gif

btw IGN is plain biased sometimes remember they gave Godhand 3.0 last time, the game some say inspired this Madworld.

I still played Godhand, enjoyed it, and had fun with it. Besides, the combo system is miraculous and the leveling system is cool.

It's only RM10 more than usual and compared with PS3 games, it's about the same or lower.

MM Soft will be bringing this in but don't know when yet. Meanwhile we're bringing in very limited quantities of this. Stock will arrive around Wednesday so if anyone wants a copy, contact me quickly.

As written by SEGA’s senior localization producer Patrick Riley:

1. Always remember that Jack can dodge enemy attacks by shaking the nunchuk. Not only will Jack avoid taking damage that way, but if timed correctly, Jack will instead dive to the side and roll behind the enemy setting Jack up in a good position to counter-attack.

2. To score lots of points, find an area with a lot of environmental kill objects placed close together. Move an exploding barrel to that area, and find that level’s lure object. Then get a bunch of enemies to follow you back to the area where you dropped the exploding barrel, and throw the lure object. And when the enemies gather around the lure object, throw the exploding barrel at them.

3. If you are looking to earn the most points possible, always complete the DeathWatch Challenges.

4. If the bat is available in the level, save it for the boss fight.

5. Try to use environmental kills that will let you recycle the object that you shoved into the enemy. Stuff like the dumpsters or the electrical signs instead of throwing people into the out-of-play area kill spots (the river in Downtown or out of the dining room window in Courtyard).

6. When trying to complete any of the time-sensitive DeathWatch Challenges, skip any Blood Bath Challenges to save time.

7. Always look inside crates and other objects. You won’t find anything solid in there, but plenty of other goodies await you!

8. Happy Onions refill the health and chainsaw gauge. They also keep Jack happy. And when he’s happy, you’re happy.

9. The more the merrier! Be sure to kill several enemies at once to obtain a higher score. This is bound to be quoted on the 10 o’clock news somewhere…

10. You can pierce an enemy with up to five different caution signs. Some people call it excessive. Jack calls it a work of art.

Just played and finished it after buying it for nearly 1 year...

Very neat especially the way they present the story and the wacky commentators, esp during the credits.

1st time I played a Black & White game. The only thing is sometimes difficult to spot things because it's Black & White, esp the Vampire Lady boss.

The load them up with champaigne target stages are pretty tough.

I did have some trouble with that, but I found that Black and White was the perfect theme. I couldn't think of another. biggrin.gif

Just played and finished it after buying it for nearly 1 year...

count me as next, just started playing after getting it back in june last year. the camera is still horrible, bad guys still stand around like extras in a bruce lee movie but the brawling action is fun when you don't overdo it cos frankly jack's moves are so limited. sad.gif

hopefully i'm finish it this time though i would rather be kazuma right now. tongue.gif

u should gundam, it's cheap as peanuts now and looks good on a LCD TV despite being 480i and all.

somehow it's not perfect 16x9 widescreen on my screen though (only darkside chornicles is actually) but oh well, hopefully the newer gen of Wii games like monsther hunter tri don't have this issue.

finally beat this game last weekend, the last boss was well, unexpected, haha.

love all the cutscenes but didn't really dig the story at all, felt a bit too much for an action game but hey what do you expect from a FF guy (yasumi matsuno)? love the commentary for the end credits though about the only time i actually paid any attention to it as i wasn't pre-occupied with beating up bad guys.

will definitely add this game to my recommendation list on nintendo channel later this week.

next up.... metroid trilogy! oh wait, got Fatal Frame IV coming in too. tongue.gif

SEGA has the worst packaging for US region, their manuals are all black&white and looks like printed on cheap toilet paper (Madworld/Yakuza), luckily i opt for japan import of bayonetta.

is your 360 version of bayonetta asia version color manual, gundam?? hmm.gif

haha, right what was i thinking? doh.gif

both fragile and sakura wars PAL versions are out?

Madworld was recently released in Japan, i wonder if they had new japanese VO since it would be near impossible to read subtitles and still concentrate on the action at the same time.

Yup, both PAL versions nod.gif

Much cheaper than getting them from PA laugh.gif

But the problem is, seller only send to Australia which means this will be my last batch of PAL Wii games until sometime next year sad.gif
