i have tested the new macbook with wow
on the highest resolution settings 1280x800 on windows mode
im getting an average of 30 fps... but then again, it gets jerky on places like the main cities....
not really doing it for me

with settings all on low, im getting an average of 100 fps...

i customized the settings to get use to a more pvp-friendly environment (further object view etc) and lowered most of the settings that i'm not really bothered with... i'm averaging 65 fps. so yeah this macbook can play wow well.. one thing to note though, blizzard has always emphasized their games to have lower system requirements...
this is in no way a benchmark test, but jsut an info for some who would like to know how wow performs on the macbook

QUOTE(presto86 @ Dec 26 2008, 01:37 AM)
Its different for other notebook. other notebook's exterior material doesn't conduct heat. Aluminium macs rely on their body to disperse heat. the entire aluminium body is a heatsink practically. Dats how apple make their notebooks thinner and slicker than other companies, "We put in 1 cheap fan, and use the body instead". N ppl think that full alu body = "yeng". It's best to use the Alu MB & MBP under air cond environment.

You cannot deny the fact that Apple made the laptops with the word "yeng" in mind (well ok maybe they would have "stylish" instead of "yeng"). The whole point of it being thin and what not still leads to the factor of it being "yeng".
