Anyone hoping they will also animate the blue pantsu when the female scouts duck to evade gunshots?

Bloomers, pantsu, sports briefs...as long as it is some clothing article under the "skirt".
QUOTE(wolfx @ Mar 11 2009, 09:30 PM) The two watchmen in the game were middle-aged men (or so it looks like it) but they changed it into kids barely into their teens in the anime. Meh...Sankaku Complex did a side-by-side comparison on the anime and game designs. (WARNING!!! NSFW) http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2009/03/02/v...-game-vs-anime/ Designs for the male characters (Welkin, Faldio and Largo) are okay but the female characters I'm not too keen on the character designs. The face seems a bit wider and the eyes more sharp compared to the game. Isara seems to have the biggest makeover. And Selvaria's hawtness factor seems to have gone down a few notches down in the anime design. The only character which I favored the anime version over the game version is Rosie (character design over at the official anime site). |

You know what other side characters we need?
Scouts: Ted and that funny sounding megane-girl. Troopers: Jane (sadist ftw) Lancer: Jann (for comedy-factor with Largo) Engineers: Nadine and Dallas (for comedy-factor..."ALICIA-oneesama!!!") Snipers: Marina (she's hawt in her own way I think, and goes well with Ted's antics) |

Yep. Nadine's a Darcsen.
I prefer the freckled faced boy over Cezary because stats is almost the same as Nadine (with the exception of the Coward potential but since snipers are far away from where the up close and personal action is...). So my sniper team is always that boy and Marina. |

Never tried Catherine before. But then, it's just a matter of personal preferences. The boy sniper is also quite a good pick once all his stats are unlocked (nest master, super accuracy, imp hater, etc). But at high levels, Marina is still the sniper of choice for me. Her Ult. Accuracy gives serious love to those within her targeting scope.

I was using Cezary up till I got Marina. I don't think I got Catherine early (Marina appeared before Catherine on the roster iirc). The new recruits that comes in is random I think.

Ayako's VC PV just came out today. They spelt Darcsen as Darksen. Hmm...

Alicia gets more facial exercise in the anime compared to the game, considering the amount of silly faces she makes within a span of just 3 episodes.

Snipers played a critical role in the opening part of the Battle of Vasel (game-wise) as they were needed to blow up the 3 ragnite containers beside the imperial tanks. Rather sad they didn't get to see any action at all here.
As snipers are only used in-game for at most a couple of shots, does that mean they will have only a token presence in the anime? Granted that the focus will be more on the main characters (representing scouts, troopers and lancer respectively), it'd be nice to have snipers get a fair share of screentime to strut their stuff in battle. If this is indeed a 12-episode series (Wiki says 26 episodes and workplace blocked ANN, so can't confirm), I'd expect a lot of shortcuts and glossing over in future battles just to compress the story into the episode count. |

QUOTE(wolfx @ Apr 22 2009, 11:01 AM) Mai waifu. Smoked cheese pan ftw. I think was a scout rifle. IIRC Largo's gun was longer than Rosie's machine gun and similar to those used by scouts. Can't re-confirm till I get back home tonight.Everyone seemed to have machine guns and rifles for episode 3, even Largo was being a shock trooper. QUOTE(wolfx @ Apr 22 2009, 11:01 AM) Officially its 26 episodes. Frankly i dun think they need to compress anything since the amount of "story" in the game was pretty minimal and most of it was expaded in the personnel text and glossary. If anything they would need to expand the story. That said i was pretty unhappy on how they handled Vasel. They even skipped the whole thing about Edelweiss being able to travel on the shallow part of the river due to Welkin's observation of some aquatic grass. Also Theimer's flare gun was totally skipped. sad.gif The story compression was based on the assumption that it was a 12-episode run as claimed in the earlier pages of this thread. So at 26 episodes...1 battle per episode plus some side stories (the ones bought from Elliot)?Between a swallow flying and aquatic grass floating by, swallow had more visual impact. I think sticking to the aquatic grass would be rather bland on an anime. Because of that, the "shallow river" part had to be omitted.
