Awesome anime is awesome. Some minor details of how things transpired were changed in the anime from the game in the 1s episode but that is to be expected. Overall very nice production values. The OST is a mix of the game's OST + some new original ones. They maintained the "filter" used for the game to give it that pastel look. Alicia's expressions are priceless in the anime....seriously.

WHen the Edelweiss gets upgraded it looks more awsm.

Rewatch chapter 3 i think, when Edelweiss came out of snorkelling. It was drifting and making Imps run like crazy on the beach.

Yah. The edelweiss definately has more AP than the Imp tanks, which is a gauge of it speed. If in-game real time the Edelweiss moves at its "real speed" i think we would have lost alot of AP mis-steering and banging stuff. Actually i did a rough test once, after giving the Edelweis the exra AP upgrade, it moves just as far as the Shamrock.

They really pumped the emotives into Alicia didn't they? She has classic reactions in the anime....in game she's more accepting to Welkin's oddness whereas in the anime she can't possibly trust her life with this guy. Not really complaining, just stating.

That tank shell that deflected of the Edelweiss was pretty LOL. And for a WWII-era heavy tank, Edelweiss sure moved like a modern battle tank.

They changed the story that the towns-people didn't even know about Welkin and Isara before the attack on Bruhl. Don't these people know the son and daughter of their beloved General Gunther?

Martha is their meido and worked for Gunther family many years. That's why she knows them. Why only martha? I dunno. Bruhl prolly a big as Klang Valley or something

I'm quite unhappy on how the battle for Vasel was glossed over from the game. They should have spent episode 3 more on character development and the battle take at least 15 minutes in the next episode. Ep 3 felt contrived. Super tank go around shooting other tanks (like a gundam) and footsoldiers giving the impression the enemy is surrounded and they decide to retreat. Gallians win.

In the game more epic. They landed secretly on the shore without the enemy noticing and did a blitzkrieg while enemy is still asleep, taking advantage of ragnite containers to blow up and cause confusion. Finally they took control of the building that controls the bridge, and retracted the bridge so all the imperial tanks get thrown into the river and cutting off all reinforcements to the imperials. More epic than the anime's episode 3 by far. And wtf all the other squad mates in this episode like cardboard stand-ins only.

Everyone seemed to have machine guns and rifles for episode 3, even Largo was being a shock trooper. Don't worry about snipers being in the anime though....they have Oscar and Marina in the lineup which is pretty cool.

Officially its 26 episodes. Frankly i dun think they need to compress anything since the amount of "story" in the game was pretty minimal and most of it was expaded in the personnel text and glossary. If anything they would need to expand the story. That said i was pretty unhappy on how they handled Vasel. They even skipped the whole thing about Edelweiss being able to travel on the shallow part of the river due to Welkin's observation of some aquatic grass. Also Theimer's flare gun was totally skipped.

Personally I feel it would be better if Welkin did a Lelouch and was shown to be directing his troops over radio to flank the enemy etc. "Q1, flank left and destroy the ragnite crates. K5, snipe the lancers on the roof" etc etc.

Get it. I got teh ps3 for this game. I think Steno did too.

I will form an "anime-accurate" squad later.....though i have no real other reason to play it again except to kill ppl with my uber stats. Will use Homer, Aisha and Susie...useless like hell characters in the game.

And the attack on Vasel town itself was not bland? I think swallow vs aquatic grass should be the least of our worries.
