QUOTE(Rayne @ Feb 10 2009, 04:39 PM)
I don't think we can just judge a dog like that to say that he/she is fat. smile.gif The best way is to feel the ribs of your dog. If you put a little bit of pressure and then can feel the rib bones, then your dog is just right. If you just touch your dog's side already can feel the bones, then your dog needs to put on weight. If you put pressure and still cannot feel any bones at the sides, then your dog is too fat. tongue.gif

Wikipedia states that the ideal weights for Min. Schnauzers are:
Male          12 to 15 lb (5.4 to 6.8 kg)
Female  11 to 13 lb (5.0 to 5.9 kg)
BTW, Scottie is almost 2 years old and he weighs about 6.7 kg last time I weighed him smile.gif

i see... should be test like that...

i can feel the puffy's bones at the side...

but i can see her dummy is near the floor when she sitting on the floor..

Added on February 10, 2009, 4:59 pmthe gathering was very success wor..

i can see all of your smiling faces... biggrin.gif

You should feel the ribs when Puffy is standing up. That is a more accurate position to tell if your dog is just the right size smile.gif I think each dog would sit differently in some ways, so probably that's not quite an accurate gauge of his/her weight. They're not like us humans (if we sit down can see 'spare tyre' means a bit fat ady wink.gif )
*
ya, puppy was not like a human.. i should remind myself like this..

Regarding the Asean Puppies, is that same row with the vet?

There has another pet shop called "Pets To All" at same area, but it was located opposite the Balai Bomba. I went there to survey some product before, the staff and the boss were very nice.. and they willing to teach me how to take care of puppy lo..

I got another pet shop for gromming to recomment. It was located at Kuchai Lama (near Dynasty Condo) called Puppy Box. I sent my puffy groom at there. The grommer and the boss there very nice. The grommer was very neat to every part, especially the ear and the paws side.

As i know is hard to get solid colour MS, is it?

I need some help!
My puffy very naughty recently. She can climb up to bite something from the table e.g. wallet. Then she will bring the wallet up to the chair and start to bite it till broke. I scold her hardly and punch her then lock her in cage also no used on her because she repeating the same act.

Can anybody suggest me some way to teach on her behavior?

My trainer suggested using ground chillies' juice, diluted with water and spray on areas that you don't want your puppy to bite. If she bites your old wallet again, spray it with the mixture, then take like a drop of that mixture and smear it on your puppy's tongue. She would definitely feel the spiciness and smell the wallet's new 'smell'. After that, she probably wouldn't want to bite other things with that smell since it reminds her of that nasty experience.
*
oh.. use the mixture...
i have need to try it out...

Ermm...I don't think OB teaches that, but they do teach the dogs to 'Leave It', as in when presented with a distraction (like another dog walking by, food, etc), we tell the dog to Leave It, and they don't go after that distraction. No puppy proofing or toilet training...that you would have to learn from books or the Internet I guess.
*
hmm... at least the puppy listen to the command.

PLS don't physically punish her in any way. Very bad for the dog and your relationship. Like i said before, take a mineral bottle (empty) and fill it up 1/4 with coins or stones. When you catch her doing things you don't want, shake it at her hard and say "NO!" or LEAVE IT!. If she stops, praise her.
*
if she listen to command.. then i wouldn't be soo headache...

I know it's very hard and takes a lot of patience but try my method. It might work. smile.gif

Anyways, try your best not to hit/scold her. Somehow dogs respond to kind masters better than harsh ones.
