so now you try keep looking for boarder first? If not then bring your dog go KL to board with personal boarders. If not, you buy after CNY. Slow slow find... how long you will stay melaka? Pls bear in mind this is only your first problem. In future, whenever you still need go back hometown, you still face this difficulties. Settle this problem first before you buy the dog is good. Not that you settle this year CNY then you no nid worry your holiday later.

buy at least 4 pieces playpen (like gates), actually 6 best for MS, got more space to stretch out. This one u can easy keep if u dun need, and when u need to cage ur dog, u can use playpen.

collar (and leash)

potty training spray is not necessary.. where you wan train him to peepoo?

get one ear cleaner too.

clipper and scissors can try seapark pet supplies. If you want cheaper one, can find at Sg Wang.

ya lo hor.. can use play pen to replace cage also right.. hmm for pee poo.. i hope can train the dog to pee poo in the corner of my room lo.. i can put a tray there so after they pee poo i can clean the tray easier lo.. usually dog pee poo many times a day 1 ah? or jz after meal and after they play play ? like in regular basis 1 or very random 1 they pee poo?

for clippers i'll try seapark lo.. but i dono where is it.. and i not familiar with kl road also.. but luckily i go sg wang quite often wan hehe so shud be no problem gua.. sg wang got pet shop 1 meh? clippers get from pet shop 1 right?
*
Then no nid buy the potty train spray. Get some newspaper, put at the place you want him poo, bring him there to pee/poo. Puppy usually pee a lot of times a day. I experienced 8-10 times pee a day before with my Sushi doh.gif that is about 7 weeks old. about 3 -4 months, my Miki still 4-5 pee a day. Really headache. So best you got time, you must fast fast potty train your new puppy. Bring him to the newspaper every hour, he pee or not dun care just sayang him and say good boy smile.gif When you see he going to pee, fast fast bring him to newspaper. Patient is the key tongue.gif minimize error also make him learn faster. Just don't scold if he make mistake, just fast fast bring to newspaper and praise him.

Like waichee said, sgwang 3rd *i thought 4th floor* got a lot shop selling saloon equipment. You ask for the pets one. Price range RM120-RM400. If you only clip you own one dog, even the cheap one also can, waichee also use RM150 one only.

oo icic.. thanks for the guide.. the wireless clipper nice to use? use battery or charge 1?

origen quite heaty i also heard b4.. but if drink more water then shud be ok right ? other than that still got other side effect ah? or any other dog food to lecomend? hehe thanks
*
Actually I also won't recommend you feed orijen. Orijen got about 44% protein, where most of the petfood for puppy out there is about 22-32% protein. They said you need to cut down to 70% portion if you feeding with orijen to lower down the protein intake... but it may be hard for new owner and hungry puppy. tongue.gif

You can try innova, california natural, natural balance, evangers, addiction, eagle pack holistic or even blackwood. What brand you easily get in Malacca? As I concern, you can't find orijen in Malacca? Later you need to buy another pack you go KL buy somemore? Just recently a friend from Malacca telling me her difficulties in getting nice kibbles.

QUOTE(Candy&Vincent @ Jan 7 2009, 10:54 AM)
I think I gave the kibbles more than 100g per meal. 2 meals I gave, 7am and 7pm.

1st week when I bought him, I let him stay in cage and pee poo in the cage. He is 5 months when i bought. He is not like that and after he pee poo, he dared not too touch the shit and will avoid to step it.

After I transfer the cage and attached together with the toilet, he had this habit.

If I am not at home, i will put him stay in the cage. But the cage is attached together with the toilet with the cage door open in order for him to go to toilet pee poo. If i at home, everytime after he pee poo, i will clean it immediately and Wilbur will just stay at my side and watch. Is it this cause him feel that everytime after pee poo in toilet, must clean up immediately, and because I'm not at home, so he clean up himself?

Wilbur have a lot of toys and love his toy also. When I came back, I will let him out from cage and play around.

Scold him?....I never scold him teruk teruk except for last night...really make me sad..... cry.gif
*
This is one of the major problem. You clean immediately, and he sees it that you "treasure" it so much! You faster faster grab it away from him. He thought, what so fun about that thing? So he start to play. I am not joking, its true.

What you need to do is, when you see him poo correctly, praise him first. Then only go pick up the poo. Don't make a big mess over the poo... like never too excited.. "OMG HE POO POO... WHERE IS THE TISSUE???? DEAR... FASTER CLEAN LAA" Dogs don't understand our language but our tone. He thought, wow interesting! So that poo poo gain his interest. So when you clean away the poo, best is he don't see it.. but you also don't put there forever la... LOL

I hope you get what I mean.

I saw lot of people using science plan food ... why ah ? And Science Plan very expensive oh.

I used the science plan food before .. the shit smell damn bad .... After changed to Nutri Source .. the shit not so smelly ...

After changed to Nutri Source, the skin is shine and health not bad ..

Any comments ?

Please advice ... 1 Schnauzer or 2 Schnauzer is better feed in the house ?
*
I heard SP gives the highest revenue to both the petshops, and of course the vet. And most vets are brainwashed by SP. Don't bother getting SP, yes they are smelly.... super smelly! That is why most dogs love to eat, strong smell!

Nutri Source is a better choice. But last time when I feeding this, my MS go pee on the grass, the grass die... HAHA... I guess too acidic. After change to other kibbles, canidae, the grass become green back. Then orijen and now innova... never make my grass die.

No No No .. i means ... is better we have 1 or 2 schnauzer in house ?
*
personal preference. If you can't give much time for your first MS, get a second dog maybe a good choice, but not necessary same breed.
Its more about, can you handle both, physically, emotionally and of course financially.

QUOTE(ahju_vodka @ Jan 7 2009, 02:44 PM)
wow....2 MS...I was thinking...when Vodka become daddy, can I keep his daughter. Father and daughter...will accident happen? Hmm...

Candy, I've tried to put the cage attached together with bathroom before. He seem to mess out the toilet as well as his cage. Too spacious for him. Gotta make them know which is the place he has to stay there for quite some time and which is the place for him to pee/poo. Pee/poo time must pee/poo. No pee/poo, then they have to hold their pee/poo. When Wilbur gets older, he'll learn to hold his pee/poo.

Seems like everyone is feeding more than 75gm per meal. I just feed 50gm per meal for 2 meals. Vodka tends to gain weight. Now 8kg...sweat...need to make him exercise more. But outside many ticks...haiya....

Added on January 7, 2009, 2:45 pmVodka only has 1 sister and his future wife has 5 siblings. Both their size are very much different. Could the number of siblings be the reason for the size?
*
Not all dogs require same amount. Plus different brand of food have different nutrients... hence cannot compare like that. Just make sure your MS is not hungry, not too thin and not too heavy.

so fast vodka got future wife oledi??? and vodka got daughter???

I also want to get Wilbur a wife, but not now...cannot afford now....

I think my Wilbur already mess up with all the commands...i think he thought we dun lie the shit, so he go and eat it and clean it up.... drool.gif

i change the food fr science plan to purina one...but it seems like wilbur dun like it.....have to change again.....i heard that nutro choice and blackwood also ok for MS?

Did u all give your MS vitamin?

Try higher quality, at about similar price. Innova, California Natural, Canidae, Eagle Pack Holistic, Natural Balance, Evangers

Its ok, I been there done that... all first owner made mistake. As long as we all willing to learn, all can do well icon_rolleyes.gif One year ago I am like all of the newbie here asking LOL and the "experts" answering. I guess it takes turn. The oldbies disappear... later when you all stable with your new puppy, will teach the new-new comers again tongue.gif

your MS is male rite? If he is not FAT then he is still ok. But when you choose wife, don't choose small. Your MS has big build, you have high chance to get BIG build (bone) baby, later the mommy having difficulties to giv birth. The mommy best is about the same size of the daddy.
