which 1? sure definately is both lo... haha

AEON shd be the 1st card to cancel... other forumer have bad experience with it. Hope you wont face the same thing.

then for UOB, u will find difficulties of payment, unless u willing to spend RM2 each month to pay UOB credit card balance via online banking.

in future, it's best to get local bank credit card which near to your house or ur salary banked-in's bank.

Oic.. the new application that manager i signed last night was Maybank.. >.<

hmm.. so far, havent encounter any problem with AEON...

UOB... i think will be ok.. since, my hometown , 500m from my house is UOB tongue.gif

Vin_ann's right about AEON. I'm one of the guys who had bad experiences with the card - it is one of the problems which you should not tolerate. (Or anyone else for that matters) AEON had problems losing their customer's cc payments - if you are confident with it and thinks they have improved then good luck!

Oh yes ... not to mention a CS system which is highly unresponsive, it is the only card that I will never reconsider reapplying in the future.
With the exception of the payment difficulties with UOB, their CS is generally good and helpful. The only thing I didn't like them was that they refused to upgrade my CL despite me paying them in full every month and have spent generously over the years. So it's goodbye to UOB.

Ic... depending also la.. >.< if got 4K CL, in one month u straight away use 4K, and pay full, then 3rd month use again, and paid full.. definitely they will increase tongue.gif

I notice that the CC payment using maybank2u and cimbclicks got some disadvantage.

What i experience,

Maybank2u is not that really efficient, sometimes next working day already done, other time 3 workings day.

This is same to cimbclicks.

By the way, you have to remember that, if you pay CC using maybank2u to other cc like aeon credit, they will deduct rm1 from the amount you pay to aeon credit, not from your account..

So, i have to make 2 time payment that time, because the web site information is not that accurate!

sigh...

Cimbclicks still ok, the deduct the service charge from your account..

I did know that if you terminate FD your card will be cancel as well. Then it is no good then.

I have similar problem when applying Alliance Bank gold CC earlier this year where my application was rejected with no reason even though I am well qualify to get it. What I do was complain to the Branch manager where I submit my form earlier. He ask me to reapply & contract him if it get rejected again. This time the card was approved within 1+ weeks.  biggrin.gif

i asked hong leong bank before.. the Customer Service bank officer told me minimun Rm5K, and ur credit limit is Rm5K..

Want to ask, if i work at home and a US company pay me in USD, do i still need to pay tax?

Asked my friend who is an auditor and he said can be categorized as foreign derived income and no need pay tax.

Anyone in the same situation can enlighten me a bit on this?

Most banks require RM5K as initial/minimum FD.  Their ratio is 1:1 (e.g. FD is 10K, you'll get gold card with 10K CL or FD is 20K, you'll get platinum with 20K CL).
It depends how much CL you like.  If you want higher CL, put it more money smile.gif
Advantage is you get the card you like with CL amount you prefer in easy way and most important, you'll have better interest rate than normal savings account.
Disadvantage is you can't withdraw unless you want to give up your credit card. (In case some FD acct holders need their cash).

FD to get a card (secured card) is quite useful (or only want to go) for some:
For me, it's the only way to go.
I have FD with PBB as investment (3.70 per year is the FD interest I'll earn and its auto-renewed for 7 years).  I also requested for card after I FD'ed to them in addition to my savings and current accounts with them.  They gave me gold card that is valid for 3 years.  I have the option to have platinum but I refuse platinum as the features is not what I need.  I'm not frequent traveler anyway then the annual fee for plat card is high.  I am not big spender/swiper so I don't think I can use the 12 swipes to have the annual fee waived.
I got no payslip and no credit history here in Malaysia (because I've been overseas since young and now that I'm back here in M'sia, all I can do is to time deposit my hard earned money as fixed/time deposit so I don't lose them that quick biggrin.gif ).  I have CC issued in the US which is active but most banks here do not recognized credit card issued outside M'sia as supporting documents.  Also, having a locally issued credit card is better since I'll be using it here in M'sia (avoid some rates to pay if I will use the U.S. bank issued credit card).

thanks for the information, it's really useful smile.gif

Yeah .. it was very much appreciated. I find it annoying that banks keep their clients credit rating secret even from the owner of the information itself !  mad.gif  At least we are entitled to our own information right ?

I understand the information can be misued but it can also be used to educate the public on credit worthiness. At least they won't be so quick to create a new debt. Just today, my neighbour got into trouble coz his friend defaulted on his housing loan, he knew coz the banks started to get tight on him - finding it out the hard way. At least banks should have the courtesy to tell him that he will be penalised (credit wise) for someone else action (not his fault). He can take action to sort things out with his friend.

It's unfortunate if an innocent party gets penalised.  blush.gif  Good action on your part.

well, you have to take note, banking industry wouldn't really want to educate people about having prudent saving or financial control, or else, they would have been out of business since long time ago!

No new debt, means no business and profit for bank!

Banking industry, need have been profitable business due to those new and old debt, accumulating interest from the debt and get more $$$
