I used HSBC for 2years liao. My original limit was 5k and I had to fax in my BE to get it increased to 9.5k.
Seldom use it already.

I think applying a new credit card with a high limit current card will automatically guarantee a much higher CL without asking. Not to mention card upgrade.
However its not like everyone can afford to spent like this. I concentrate all on Citibank Shell card as the rebate is much attractive than those gifts.
Last month alone RM60+ rebate after swiping for air tickets and car repair for my boss. Not bad what... 6k points can barely change anything worthy.

@andrekua,
Thanks for your reply. Hence, can i say that for HSBC they will not upgrade our card's CL or to Gold card automatically?

I've applied UOB vox card. however when I receive the card through mail, they actually give me 2 cards, Vox and One cards.

In the end, I didn't activate them and I would like to ask over here, will it cause me to have any trouble in applying UOB cards in future?

that is because normally the officer will tick the combied card columm which is vox+one.

btw,y u dint activate it,since for uob,u just use 12 time then u will get both anual fee waived
*
I've been told, we need to activated both cards together and does it imply that we need to make 12 or 24 transactions in order to waive annual fee?

The reason I didn't activate it is because I already have other 2 cards which got before UOB sent me their cards. I don't want to diversify the points I gain into several cards.

So, does it make any difficulty for me to apply UOB cards in future?

u just use for 12 transaction for both card to anual fee waived.cancel the card will make your record looks bad as others bank will notice this as well.

so my advise is just activated and keep both card la.

No, I didn't cancel the card, but I just didn't activate it tongue.gif I think i got the UOB cards around Sept or Oct

This is widely used in overseas like Europe and China.
