I just got my MBB Visa Classic. What different between MBB Visa Classic & Visa Wave ?

I tried to do some comparasion in Maybank2u but doesn't spot any differences

Oh ya, Im wondering if you guys normally settle full outstanding each month ? I'd only pay around 50% of my outstanding only . Bad record I guess ? unsure.gif

No banks charge joining fee nowadays. I applied Maybank recently and got the card, no fees whatsoever.  rclxms.gif

And for the lowest entry to get Plat card, apply OCBC Robinson. CL is as low as 5k!

What is the requirement ?

Yes, I got charged when I call CIMB and ask for flexi-payment conversion sad.gif

The seller keep insist it's 0% installment, but at last I got charged interest from CIMB and it deduct the total from my CL itself

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the 0% installment means no interest or finance charge on the converted purchase (converted to flexipay, flexipayment et al).  The non-flexi purchase got finance and other interest (e.g. 15, 17, or 18%) while Flexipayment stuff is only charge with one time 3, 5 or 6% (upfront fee).  The flexipayment is fixed montly installment, there's no interest will occur unless the cardmember failed to pay the flexi monthly installment.  Fee for it depends on the bank.

So the advantages of Flexipayment thingy are:
1.  One time interest (the upfront fee 3, 5, 6%) as long as the card holder don't fail to pay the Monthly Flexipayment due.  This is good because the non-flexi got more interest rate and it keep coming.
2.  Choice how many months to pay an item or items
3.  Credit limit is not affected.  This is true only if the bank will restore the amount converted to Flexipay.  I like this advantage a lot because I can get stuff that I want without reducing much my credit limit.  I prefer to have my credit limit always ready for not-so-high-purchases e.g. less than RM2K.

Hmm my credit limit affected lol. My CIMB CL was RM4000, and I purchased something worth RM2500 then converted to flexi payment. Once I back home Im surprise to see my CL deducted the total. I called CIMB and the operator told me the same sweat.gif

That is what Im trying to say biggrin.gif

Its been 3 months and the total limit does not recover. The CL only recover upon your installment payment month by month

It seem my application is duplicated in MBB. I sent fax to them but they did not receive it for 1 week, then they ask me to send by post sweat.gif

My mbb card is approved with limit RM5k. Few days later, I print my CCRIS report at BNM and found 2 application in MBB.

1ST is pending with limit RM8k

2ND is approved with RM5k limit

For MBB user, do I need to request the PIN separately ?

Can I request for CL increment after like 1~2 month usage ? How much could they increase from RM5k ?

I've noticed my M2U does not update anything about my MBB CC. It's always show as RM0.00 since beginning

Do I have to do anything ?

Its showed in M2U, but the transaction etc in CC is forever remain as RM0.00

Yup I have used my card...

My previous experience with other bank is, I have to request for the PIN then use at ATM machine for the online application. Not sure if its the same for maybank

Just wonder how many does apply for the touch n go Zing card ... unsure.gif

As I know, the main feature of this Zing card is auto reload deducted from your credit card with service charge of RM2.00

Any other option to reload without the charge ?

I'm thinking to apply one but still in confusion rclxub.gif

I don't fancy this card too much coz not only they will charge you RM2 but the reload happens when it is below RM50. I translate that as you actually have only RM50 in your card. (Assuming you load up RM100)

In the old days, the auto reload happens when you hit RM0 but I guess TNG had a problem when there is a gap between reloading the card and charging the person acct. You see you could have cancelled your cc but the reload still happens. A better solution would be to lower the reload limit so I don't feel cheated.

Thanks a lot !

Charging RM2 for auto reload seem to be quite unreasonable. Can I manual reload from my credit card instead of cash ?

I guess I rather stick with normal TnG laugh.gif

How much fixed deposit needed for platinum card ?
Most of the bank need at leats 100k p.a for plat card ... which mean monthly salary around RM8~9k sweat.gif
I suppose those are meant for manager or higher class people, ain't it ? laugh.gif

If 40~50k p.a , sound so much unlikely for one lol.
