Hi, I am a newbie here.

I would like to share with you guys, in my personal opinion which credit card is the best in terms of points redemption value. Being a credit card holder of more than 10 banks. I realise some banks credit card are worth to use it.

My personal choice:
1. Maybank : For a mere 8350 points, you can redeem a Sunshine Square RM50 voucher, or for 16700 points, you can get RM 100 Jaya Jusco voucher.
2. CIMB DA: For 9800 points, you can redeem RM 50 giant voucher.

This two banks credit card highly recommend. Other bank that follows by their worth of points would be RHB, EON Bank, OCBC, HSBC, Citibank, Stan Chart, Hong Leong Bank, UOB, Ambank.

But if you talk about privileges, I notice that banks such as HSBC, UOB and DA offers many shopping and dining privileges.

Anyway, just to be clear I am just sharing based on the cards that I hold. Maybe you guys may have better offer from other banks.

Wah, this may take a lot of time. Unless you spend like few hundred thousand per year. One thing about this maybank treatpoints is that the points have not increase for the past few years. Unlike other banks, when they update their catalog, they update (increase) their points too. By the time, when I want to redeem a product, either is no longer avalaible or the points needed increase. So, I decided all my credit card points to be used to redeem voucher. So I can buy whatever I want.

As for other banks, HSBC and DA have three years validity for its points. If got used frequently, bolehlah.

I am interested in getting an alliance bank credit card. Which would you recommend? Got annual fee?

Actually if you self-collect at their determined branch, there will be no delivery charge

Added on February 13, 2009, 10:34 amActually DA already change their point validity from one year to three year. Other banks such as HSBC, OCBC, EON, Ambank, Citibank, Stan Chart, UOB, they don't charge for courier service. That's why point needed for redemption keep on increasing.

I will never recommend MBF cards, very hassle in terms of payments. Points not attractive as it use bonuslink.
RM3 = 1 point.

Just to add, you need to be a consistent spender to enjoy the annual fee waiver. I am not too sure about 100% waiver, as I have an annual turnover of about 200k on my card, so I did get a waiver. Certain bank will deduct your points for the waiver.
