I need advice on the following.
Yesterday I tried to buy microsoft points from xbox.com. (think of it as a prepaid reload)
The first time I tried, I got to a page saying the server is busy and my request cannot be processed. So I tried many more times (not by refreshing the page, I did everything all over again) and each time the same page that says 'cannot be processed' appears.
Earlier today I received a call from PB card centre, the guy asked me whether I used my card for online purchase from Microsoft. I said yes, and I explained that everytime I tried, the transcation 'could not be processed'. To my surprise, he then told me that all 10 transactions were actually processed!
I asked him to cancel all but one but he said they can't simply cancel, I'd have to ask microsoft to do that.
Either that or wait for 10 days and see whether the transactions will be dropped automatically or otherwise.
What's the best thing to do now? And what's with this 10 days thing? I forgot to ask the CS about it.
I already informed microsoft about this, waiting for their reply.
ha. i know ur feeling.
this situation happened to me when im purchase my GSC movie tickets.
in order for bank to cancel ur transaction, u have to log dispute report regarding the transactions.
after log, the bank will takes about minimum 45 days to 3 months to do the investigation. n the final result might be sucessful or might not sucessful also.
the problems come in now, after 20 days, ur statement come, and even u dispute with the transaction, and did not pay for it, the finance charges interest will be charges accordingly... imaging u outstanding for 3 months....
so final solution is to get the vendor to cancel / re-versing ur transactions. Lucky, the GSC customer service is very helpful.... Thanks to her, my transaction was reversed at the following month. i still have to pay the full balance shown in statement.
Morale of the story:
never ever repeat the transactions few times after it's showing failed to transact each time. else, GSC movie ticket is charging you few times.
btw, Thanks to GSC also, they got control, each credit card only can transact 2 times, then it will block. but still, im ended with 8 transactions.
