wah... 1-2 months...

when we owe them money, charge us interest for outstanding...

when they owe us, takes so long.  sweat.gif

1-2 months is cheque arrive your mailbox , this is because when you went to the branch filling up the cancellation form, it will not immediately cancel your card on the spot, but they will ask you to wait for their officer to call you up on why you want to cancel the card and offer you some waiver on AF or CL increase, usually 1-2 weeks time , after that if you still want to cancel they will proceed for it around 3-5 working days. Sending out cheque via normal mail took around few days to weeks again depend on their mood, that's why roughly 1-2 months for the whole process doh.gif .
Better use up the money and pay the remaining balance via online banking or over counter then just cut the card and return to them.

Not really sure... as I not always use CDM. Anyone can confirm this?

Just curious if there's any suggestion to spend or pay exact amount before cancel your CC?

CIMB is the leading Paypass provider. Their terminal is all over everywhere.

I agreed with you. I'm wondering why Paypass terminal is not available at Tesco since they're using CIMB terminal.

Could the TS please update the 1st page on the admin fees ? DA will start to impose an additional 1% for overseas transactions starting 1st April 2009. Got this info via my statement this month.

Not sure about CIMB cards though.

Since we are on the topic of CIMB and CDM. Is it true that CIMB CDMs are offline after 10pm. I always get this errorcode and transaction denied if I want to pay my cc after 10pm.

For some reason, cashiers wouldn't use the Wave/Paypass if the customer doesn't indicate it. Seen a couple of times whereby the cashier will swipe normally with a Wave/Paypass-capable card rather than use the feature to save time.

hmmm, never try to cash deposit money after 10pm.

but for OCBC, 10pm is their cut off time. the system will have sort of consolidation running.

tht day i deposit money at 10pm, the guard told me tht, and ask me to try after 10minutes... sweat.gif

waited there for about 10-15minutes then try again. and it's done.

Perhaps the cashier is not trained to do so but I'm just wondering if should they ask whether the customer to swipe the transaction using Wave/Paypass feature.
