I pumped Petronas yesterday (4/1/2009). Today check MBB online is not there yet. Maybe wait another 12-24 hours and we'll know whether 5x TP is still valid or not.

BTW, pumped on 31/12/2008 (transact) and posted online 1/1/2009, still 5x TP.
Hi cuteboiboi and zenquix,

Now still got 5x TP for MBB Petronas or not? Will use AMEX to buy petrol if it is 1x TP....
*
Update: My 4/1/2009 transaction is online. Posting date 5/1/2009. Confirm I got 5x TP using MBB Petronas CC at Petronas station. thumbup.gif

Yes, MBB Petronas CC at Petronas station only is still 5x TP
MBB Amex Credit Card and Charge Card 2x TP at any petrol station
The rest of CC with cash rebate, I'm not familiar.

5x TP only applicable to all MBB Petronas CC holders. Your SCB Saadiq card is a debit card ... please state that clearly in order not to confuse ppl here coz this is a cc thread.

The 7% rebate is correct except that it is a debit card, not a credit card. Let's keep this thread clean shall we ? icon_idea.gif

Sorry about it, i just wanna share some goodies to all~

Ya saadiq is debit card with having 7% rebate on petrol + 5% rebate on all hypermarket like giant, carrefour, tesco and so on....

So far this is the best card i having now compare to MBB Petronas, DA and UOB

but still it is Debit which you need balance inside, further info can go to debit card thread.

No issue, as it depends on usage. I used to pump Esso/Mobil and hate Petronas for no reason. But petrol is petrol, sometimes the contract-tanker fetch fuel from same distribution centre. tongue.gif But due to 5x TP, I applied for the MBB Petronas CC. I thought if no more 5x TP, I'll switch back to MBB Amex Credit Card and Esso/Mobil Smiles.

It all depends on individual usage/spending and lifestyle, if the CC suits you to provide the best benefit or not. smile.gif

In the older days, banks does give a separate account for internet banking known as virtual card where the limit is set to xxxx amount in control of fraud.
But situation now is no one is longer using those. You may ask your specific bank to see whether or not they still have that sort of facility.

If not, that's the risk you need to take while purchasing online.
So far, I haven't encountered any fraud cases on my online transactions.

For that I prefer HSBC card as after entering, it would redirect to another HSBC internet portal to reverify the information keyed in.
Not that it's of any use if fraudsters managed to get your details and account details, just another level of comfort I guess.

Ha! Ha! I keep those slips for at least few months. That could pose a problematic problem like our ATM cards and debit cards.

Imagine how many cards you own in your thick wallet. laugh.gif
