i started to worry whether d gud old infinity can handle d 140w 9950 b.e, at this kinda time i really have no more budget for gettin a high end cooler...

will fire up d new rig tonite (if no problem w/ d raid), it's been awhie since i last posted a result here...

meh... no wc for me bro, too 'leceh' & risky (i still remember i almost fried my sli'ed 6600gt & ultra-d usin el cheapo wc).

not so early bro, tonite is just d foreplay only... some more dfi boards are not so easily to tame, even for lite oc...

still playin w/ d make up for d board, i only found out those chipset coolers (for nb & mosfets) i bought can't be used only when i try to fix 'em. now runnin d board w/ default coolin but it doesn't seems gud...

worst still when my infinity clips broken last nite when i try to remount it, ended up i gotta buy a new heatsink just to cool d chip down (stock cooler just aint cut it). 140w phenom is really hot. dark knight in d house & i'm dead broke now...

too bad i'm not allowed to sell things here in lyn, else i can offload d mosfet cooler & nb cooler... these 2 items are made for ta-790gx...

lol... under table is not my type bro, i'll see whether i can pujuk2 my gf to remove d ban...

can't find one in d shop i wanna buy, so no choice but to grab it....

this is done w/ default voltage, aint too shabby for me but temps are major concern...

7x0 chipset supposed to be more energy efficient. i blame it on the layout of d board (thanks to d additional pci-e slot) & lousy chipset cooler (for the nb) which not cooled actively.

i'm still figurin out what's d problem bro but for now, it's more of d fault of d layout + stock passive cooler.

ta-790gx has better layout imo, i can put my nb400-cu on it but not d fxb...

diff chip, chipset & layout, one can't really compare an apple to an orange.

HR05 should be chipset cooler. get a nb-400 cu + sink d mosfets w/ d mosfets cooler like what i did on ta-790gx will do. thinkin of sellin 'em since i can't use 'em on d fxb... (advertisin )

as mentioned, use prime will do.

mite as well create a siggy so that ppl here will have ideas on what kinda hardwares ur usin.

use prime better imo, u dun need to set d affinity manually.

ya board is runnin on 690 chipset rite? it does not fully support a phenom.

are u referrin to me bro? if so no magic at d moment as magic = $$$, no $$$ no magic...

buyin 790fxb + 9950 b.e + dark knight @ one shot really hurts...

nice vcore there but i wouldn't suggest stressin a phenom on 690g board. u mite risk fryin d mosfets... heck, even 780g board mite be victim of phenoms oc...

if ur referrin to d nb400-cu then why not we swap ya deepcool nb8 w/ my nb-400 cu + mosfet coolers...

i wouldn't do that if i were u, u mite end up find out ya board dead d next morning...

i bought it @ sls, d damage was $79...

i would say it's one of d best budget oc boards w/ sb600, however, sb750 boards proved to be more clockable & stable. depend on d moolah u have, if $$$ is not a concern, by all mean go for sb750 boards. ta-790gx is a gud budget board. dfi 790fxb (sb750) is d most stable phenom board to date for me. so far i've only encountered once bsod after few days of tweakin, awesome...

higher value allow higher htt (for dual core), i tried that on phenoms but no luck... 1 is d best setup for my ex 9550 b4...

performance is proven lah bro.. check in xs leh...

but given d price tag (RM530), i would rather top up < RM100 to get a dfi...

it's a case of 790gx vs 790fx... kinda hard to compare. but if x-fire take into consideration, fx is better...
