Guys some question, should I run 333x9 instead of 300x10? I'll get better memory speed if I done so (856MHz instead of 750MHz) but I don't think it will give any improvements. Anyone done this before?

I'll try to tighten the timing a little bit, I don't know if Hynix FP-Y5 module can handle 4-4-4-12 2T at 750MHz though

QUOTE(cdlim87 @ Nov 14 2008, 10:31 PM) bro, u also can try step by step 5mhz increase ur HTT, to check wat ur mobo max HTT.. m2n-e can support 200-400, if it can do around 380,390 thn will nice to ply.... I know all the tricks actually, I tried 400x8 before, it can't boot, at most it reaches 380-ish I think. I don't think I wanted to maxed everything, my CPU can reach 3.2GHz at 1.4125V, I think it can go higher but I don't want it to roast everything in the process (**but remember lower&loosen every thing that should lower&loosen to make sure no other thing to wall it) My Hynix FP-Y5 maxed at 900MHz 5-5-5-15 2T @ 1.95V. Now I tried to tighten the timing, it can only reaches 5-5-4-12 2T @ 750MHz, SuperPI 1M only shaves mere .02 sec My heavy overclocking days is over...my PC now only serve the purpose to play some games (CnC3 KW, Max Payne 1 and 2) while chatting on Skype |

I never thought CnQ will work when overclocking. Anyone tried it to M2N-E before?

QUOTE(cdlim87 @ Nov 15 2008, 02:49 PM) beware wor... beter try step by step if x8,,, mayb start frm 380, 390 1st... Don't worry, I'm a trained professional but ur mobo can consider gem board oledi... can do full HTT... my cheapo m3a78-em should be can go till 300 max but it walled at above 295.. 295 can boot n orthos cpu test only, test for 2 mins, passed, 298 failed boot thou.. assume 295 is the max bootable HTT.. Shots of SuperPI 1M on 400x8, just for a test I don't want to do any speed record here |

QUOTE(dEsTiNyy @ Nov 17 2008, 08:13 PM) You can somehow 'cheat' though, in 'Boot Setting Configuration', try to put 'Halt On' setting from 'All Errors' to 'No Errors'. I have some crap ASUS M2N-SLI which a bad overclocker, only reaching 2.4GHz on my 3800+ F3, by disabling that, I can reach 2.8GHz |

QUOTE(dEsTiNyy @ Nov 18 2008, 12:23 AM) Up to a point, but they do have some disadvantages. Sometime your PC start to acting weird, like USB device not functioning, but only happen at 2.8GHz, the stable clock for that mobo is 2.7GHz. You can try, it may or may not work, but if it do work, it can give a bit more |

QUOTE(dEsTiNyy @ Nov 18 2008, 01:03 AM) At least on my CPU, if you get a higher multiplier CPU I think it can reach higher, because I read that someone who uses 5000+ Black Edition overclocks nicely to 3GHz on that mobo. Most cheap mobo is more HT limited, means they can't reach high HT without giving trouble, so overclocking on this mobo would be better to increase its multiplier |

Guys, this is an overclocking thread, its not about speculation on what things to come
Back to overclocking: Anyone wanna trade their 5000+ BE with my 3800+ F3? |

May I know the voltage? Because I can't stay at 3.3GHz 1.45V for long, only pass SuperPI 1M but Orthos fail in 2 minutes

QUOTE(digswell @ Nov 29 2008, 11:10 AM) Don't try to be funny. First thing its not CPU voltage its 12V rail on PSU. Most software monitoring is always off from what the actual value, if you want actual result use DMM. Using CPUID hardware monitor it reported that my 12V rail is at 11.71V but using DMM it reported 12.32V. It runs great without any problem for years nowQUOTE(digswell @ Nov 29 2008, 04:44 PM) something wrong with ur CPU , Core #1 and #2 temp reading ... Its normal that one CPU is hotter than the other, sometime up to 5C differencewat proc u using ?? brisbane saw at ur siggy is using 4600 F3 |

QUOTE(dEsTiNyy @ Nov 30 2008, 01:29 PM) Yes it does, having a fan blowing to graphic card can give good result, even with stock cooler. I have 120mm fan blowing on the side of my stock cooler 9600GT, I expecting not much difference but temperature difference reaches up to 4-5C. I expecting stock HD4850 single slot can gain similar result |
