curently using am 3500 orleans wif biostar t550 ! should i upgrade my proc or wait until phenom II ?

every upgrade is depend on ur budget.......phenomII will a bit high price when 1st coming in malaysia market (fresh thing always like da)
u can buy a  AM2+ mobo  1st with x2 athlon or x3 x4 phenom while waiting for phenom II (phenom II hv soket for AM2+ and AM3 )
mobo chipset better go for ati and gc also ati  3870 or 4850 is good enuf

Just talked to neil from J&W. He gave me new bios, later than 1.1 which has processor P-states unlocked.

It's going to be difficult compared to other boards, because it's in hexadeximal values. a beta bios of sorts.

Oh well.
Going to ask/test it now.

6000+ wins in both categories:

1. performance (due to larger L2 cache - 1024kb vs 512k each  core)
2. heat (125w vs 65w)

i will take 4600+ f3 at anytime... 

nothing if u compared it to 140w... 

So performance wise ,6000+ win. temperature 4600 < 6000+

so u prefer better temp more than performance?

I'm getting 52-53 idle temps on 1.35@9500+
according to online calculator, the TDP should be abt 140W at this point.

Personally, I think considering using stock HSF, still got a lot of room to overclock.. currently pumping the FSB to 250, thanks to the NB multiplier, now the PC boots at 250FSB.. at least that's a start.. lol

I think the Deepcool KW looks better than the tower Sunbeam CCF. At least the end caps of the heatpipes are nicely done, unlike sunbeams one.

Maybe I'm just old school, but I like top down coolers better, esp. when the northbridge is hot, and is a passive cooler.

But it is also tempting to underclock the processor, and run fanless heatsink setup.

i'm still searching for the highest reading i can go so i can run my pc 24/7. the only thing i know when i enter the BIOS setting is the HTT n Vcore only...

i've read on the fundamentals n basic of OCing but still can't understand it tho...

later i'll test it wif prime95 n show it to u guys.

wat is the danger lvl for temp n voltage? 

when i ran prime95, the temp is around 60~69'C (non aircond), is it still acceptable?

the only thing i 'touch' here is HTT n Voltage, the rest still clueless...
