I'd be buying the new Macbook Air with 1.83Ghz processor and 128GB SSD, since this is treated as CTO as the resellers here. Need to let go off the OLD Macbook Air and the Tosh Qosmio before that happens.

Unless, any of the Premium Resellers stock these 1.83GHz MBAs as shelf items, looks like the new Apple Online Store came just in the nick of time.

Not just you, Dawn. I feel the same too. It fills me with pride that we are treated the same (almost) like those countries with a proper online Apple Store. The final sealing of the deal is to see a real life Apple Store in KL. That would make KL as prestigious as Apple Store 5th Avenue, Apple Store Beijing and Apple Store Sydney. I would seriously shed tears if that happens.

Congratulations accs_centre and damos_csui for your online Apple store purchase, it's good to see the online purchase system works, especially the delivery. Even more more surprising that it went without a hitch via Poslaju. Enjoy your MB/MBP, make full use of them.

Less than 2 hours to go. I'm already setting aside a Safari page to the Malaysian Online store, will refresh that once the clock strikes twelve.

Nothing different pun? I thought, in the great Apple tradition, that changes would have come at the stroke of midnight? All the waiting for nothing. Now I have a shorter nap time and have to wake up at 8am/9am? This BLOWS!

Knowing the Malaysian way of doing things, it's probably just a free small value voucher you have to use on the same day to buy only limited selection of items available.

Jeeez, after scrutinizing what's on offer, ended buying.....NOTHING! This is sadder than your run-of-the-mill promo you see Premium Resellers do here, and none of those things on offer or savings offered is enticing enough to take advantage of.

I got the same excuse when I called. Which I call bullshit on them since the APRs here are already getting their stocks. And it's from Singapore. Their answer is scripted, they don't know anything other than being overtly polite.

APR= Apple Premium Reseller. Machines, EpiCenter, Switch, MacStudio.

Most probable reason is the customs. During the launch of the first MacBook Air, they were late at clearing it, and buyers were squirming waiting for the local release. I got mine from Apple Store George St. in Australia.

OT: I got my iPhone 4 there, lining up in the cold Australian winter at midnight, and only managed to got into the store to purchase at 9am. I was number #300 in line. Apple was kind enough to provide breakfast and hot coffee for those in line. It was an experience I'll never forget. Also in line for the Australian iPad 2 launch in Brisbane. Had to cover my face and hide it, otherwise my face ill be all over Channel 7 News there, !
