experiencing a strong impulse to get it now. trying oh so hard to resist, thankfully i can't find a mac shop that does 0% easy payment with hong leong cards

Hopefully, MBP will be replaced with MBA..then yay...all slim laptop range..

Any successful stories buying new MBA or MBP  15 RTD from the online stores ? 

A lot of shops  still havent got stock from the new updates  of all the  Macbook  lines.

how do you know your transaction using debit card failed?

I'm using an overseas debit card but all it says is order processing and an order number is given.

usually I have to authorised the purchase by entering pin given by the bank but this has nothing. Does that means my order is successful or failed???

purchase from apple store online will count it as retail transaction ?

Are there any additional charges if i purchase a mac with a debit card?

just mbp 13' but upgrade the ram to 8gb, i'm not a heavy user, just use it as teaching material and i also apply the teacher discount...

Yeah. I wonder about that too.

Even though mine states preparing for shipping, my estimated delivery date still remains the same though.

so now all machine shop also have stock ready for retina mbp ?

it really bugs me out when i saw the estimated shipping time is 3-4 weeks....i hope i can use it for my law assignment .....

local reseller or even seller in garage sell LYN already got stock in hand...some more same price with education n mybe abit lower...:-D

I just did a quick search in Garage Sales. It seems only the non-retina models have stock. Sigh.
I used to be in the same boat as you before whilst I was still studying. I remember when I did not let anybody touch my Macbook Pro as I could not afford to purchase a new one if it had been damaged by the hands of others.
Of course, after working; all of that has changed.
