I think the online store is only good for iPod because of the gift wrapping and engraving services. For everything else, I'd run down to a reseller store and get it instantly.

It's shipped from Singapore because that's the regional hub. Malaysia not established yet, but it's picking up speed quickly!

not necesary ship from singapore, depends most of the guys notebook got it from china factory, whereas mine is from spore

I'm presuming Apple will soon pull the plug on education pricing on the Malaysian Online Apple Store. The way they've got it set up now and given the mentality of the Malaysian public, it's going to be abused.

So if you're planning get an education discount (whether or not you deserve it), I'd do it fast if I were you....

heh heh... yeah... i think something will be done... but no concrete info yet... just speculation... and dreaming... and that kinda thing...

You can actually do a search in the iPhone forums. It has been discussed extensively there. Instructions on how to set up a US one as well.

I don't think they'll do away with it completely. The genuine students need that. I do, however, see more stringent controls. Probably more thorough verifications
