is it better to get from Xavilyn or better from the retail store ?

Dat day bought speck case for my mba13", went to lowyat macstudio, the price is both rm148 for both satin n invinsible one see through. Bought 2 piece. Walk into lowyat then realized one of the apple authorized retailers upstairs is selling rm148 foe the satin n rm138 for the invinsible see through. Luckly satin price is the same, but the upstairs retailers have more choices compare to the macstudio

just got my RM100 refund for the delay in delivery of my Mac mini. been stuck in customs clearance for almost a week and given delivery date is 16th August. :/

What did you have to say to them to get the RM100? I ordered a MBP last month which came at 8pm on July 12th, the last day as estimated by Apple. Just one more day, I can get some extra pocket money.

just told the CS that it's way over their estimated delivery date & he's the one who offer me the discount. am just checking with 'em why does it takes so long to clear the customs (about a week). am not expecting a discount of RM100.

I've bought quite a number of products from Apple online store and none opened or delayed by the customs.

Antiglare is quite commonly use

I like my old late-2006 MBP, it has matte display. I believe this is now called antiglare? The later Macbooks mostly have glossy display, only high end MBPs I believe can be customised with antiglare.

Ordered MBA 13 on 16th Aug.. Received on 28th August. Promised DT was 18-22 Aug.

did you ask them for rebate?

No. I didn't. Apple shipped it out on time but it was stuck at Malaysian customs for more than a week. Since the MBA was shipped in a bulk shipment with other things like ipods, my guess is that this created some problems with customs. So there are three possible reasons for delay at Malaysian Customs

a) Slow civil service at Malaysian customs
b) Clearing agent from apple didn't put it enough effort to clear the goods
c) Apple wasn't quick enough to pay taxes or provide the documentation to clear the goods.

I had a deadline to receive the goods and with 3 days off this week, I was lucky to get it on Monday.

i don't think its apple's fault . Mainly due to customs
