Use open office. that's free. Not sure how good it is though since the last time I used it was during the Redhat still free days. Now I'm using MS Office for Mac

u can just buy the 'hotlink plan' from maxis. no contract also. then juz pop it ur celcom/digi/umobile whatever simcard. obviously maxis wont tell u to do that, but it's possible. if i remember right there's something in the malaysian law that no one can sell carrier-locked phones

Trust me you won't regret it at all. well maybe the first week will bring abit of frustration but soon enough you will appreciate it way more than you think and soon you will be like me, can't live or work far away from home without one.
If you are used to unix you will appreciate it even more. The stability just rocks but with an added touch of supercool GUI
