can i ask some questions regarding education purchase...

let say i 1 2 get 2 MBP under education plan.

Purchase 2 MBP under 2 different Credit Card and send to 1 house unit n another office address.

or 2 different Credit card send to same company address.

Will Apple cross check on the student verification if i do it this way...

reasons of doing so...trying to save some bucks...

I think better not do this, but their didnt check wheter ur student or not. so try it but i think it will better if 2 credit card will 2 diffrent people name on it & 1 house unit and another office address with 2 diffrent people name that will receive the MBP(receiver name).

and tell use the result.

you of all people should know not to abuse the system man, plus wanna get 2 MBP summoe proves you can afford the RRP,if you are hard pressed for money also get MB white onlylah. Students like me who dont earn much should be worried about money unlike you who has a stable job, with a solid financial stature that could afford 2 MBPs. Just because Apple Store doesnt check thats doesnt mean all of us should abuse it. Btw you havent gotten the mac since last year?

Yes I totally agree with U that we shouldn't be abusing the system; once Apple realises people are abusing it, checks are going to happen and that's going to just inconvenience everyone.

Also, Y would U ask Apple to send the unit to your office; ur supposed to be a student so better to send it to ur home. Plus, even if U do qualify for this Education Discount, U are only allowed to purchase 1 unit a year.

this is whats gonna trouble those students like myself,have to send enrollment letter,photostat student iD,photostat iC, then they have to call the IPTA or IPTS for double verification,sigh its gonna be a tough thing to deal especially the longer timeframe as its not gonna be instantaneous. The reason why its called an education discount is in light of us paying so much for college especially those in IPTS, i personally have to spend almost the equivalent of the high end MBP 15, twice a year that isnt cheap!

first of all i haven get my mbp yet...coz i have invested another machine. Therefore money spend elsewhere~

well i totally agree with abusing the education benefits...was thinking should i preform this action or just ignore it.~

Btw i not loaded anyway, just trying to save abit each purchases so i can have some for other hardware failure.

u only entitled to one edu per year, and its not abt the adress, or credit card, its ur email account registered

The question at stake here is that he doesn't even qualify for the Edu Discount in the first place.

I seriously hope Msians won't abuse this trust or next time, people like me who actually do qualify will have to go through tedious processes to qualify

Ordered my 13.3 MBP yesterday evening- says shipped within 24 hours- still not shipped yet, does any know when do they actually make the shipments? thanks very much, Ash

If it says ships within 24hrs it'll probably get shipped tomorrow if not today from my experience.

You are able to check the shipment once you have received email from Apple, normally it is by DHL courier service.
24 hours, I believe if only you are in Singapore, as Singapore is Asia-Pacific "HQ" if I'm not wrong.

Most of the users here received their MB/MBP less than 1 week time, so just be patient while waiting.

just in case there was some confusion.. shipped within 24 hours simply means that your purchase leaves the singapore storage area and collected by the courier.. if you're lucky, you'll receive it within 2 days after you have ordered..

they did ship the item within 24 hours but depends on wat method payment u're using.
if cc card, u've to call ur bank to confirm the payment.
after that, hve to send an email to apple store include with ur copy of cc statement. then they will process ur order as quickly as possible.

maybe short of stock?

machines in malaysia are running out of stock of macbook pro.. will apple online store face this kinda problem?

maybe not. since apple online store in malaysia is based on the singapore.
