I am one of many satisfied customer at its price range too. Below points are my expectation to make it a perfect player:-

1) No support RMVB files. (Then again, I solve it by using Ultra Video Converter to convert into MPEG2 or others to play. No sweat)

2) No support 1080p High ReFrames > 5. (To be safe, I just DL 720p or up to 1920x800p. Avoid 1920x1080p. Hope WD will solve in future firmware)

3) No support HD True Audio (Although future firmware cannot solve this, but look back at this price.....No sweat,  )
At this moment, I would anticipate improvement in No.2 in near future. No. 1 is for my wife, so a little quality loss is no difference to her. As for No.3 I have to live with it as it is born this way. We have to accept it with this price.
These are my 2cents. Lets share what other users have to say about your expectation on this little magical unit.
